About Journey Quest
Journey Quest is the perfect mix of competitive party game and adventure RPG. In Journey Quest, your goal is to traverse from one end of the map to the other faster than your competitors. You journey across the map by selecting locations, each of which has different terrain, difficulty, and options for what you may encounter at the location. You’ll build a party by meeting friends, equip items by finding treasure or buying from merchants, and defeat monsters to earn more gold and experience. You are periodically presented with additional choices, such as random encounters or affinity boosts. As you acquire friends, experience, and items, you will do more damage against monsters and have more beneficial buffs to make your journey easier. In this way, the skill in Journey Quest is in the choices you make, the risks you take, and the moment you choose to sprint to the end. Journey Quest is played in one sitting as a self-contained adventure. While the game supports computer players, Journey Quest is best enjoyed with a small group of mildly-competitive friends.Journey Quest includes 3 games, Journey Quest Adventure (fantasy themed), Journey Quest Saga (scifi themed), and Journey Quest Apocalypse. All three games use the same system, making it easy to hop from one to the other.

This plays well on Steam Deck. The text is a little small (mostly OK with magnification), and the screen cuts off the right side of the screen, but overall, it’s a very fun little game. There are so many options that I eventually just ignored them and dove in. I only played a single-player game and had a lot of fun. Got to the boss way underpowered, but appreciated that I could backtrack and get more loot and recruit more friends before retrying the boss. As someone who likes to overpower enemies, I had a blast. Can’t speak to the competitive side—may try that later, but I definitely look forward to this being my new time-killing game while watching TV, etc. For the dev: having the spin wheel slow down before stopping to increase tension would be nice, as would the ability to just click it to stop it immediately without spinning for the impatient. If you have no option aside from Boss at the end node, maybe have the spinner do unique stuff, like break down, melt, fail to work without your character hitting it a few times, etc. would be neat.3 found this helpful
I have highly enjoyed my time in this game. It provides plenty of depth while still being clear and easy to understand. This game has lots of replay factor due to the numerous build types you can engage in. I particularly enjoy how you might need to change your builds around based on whats available. All around a engaging and fun game that I highly recommend!1 found this helpful
