https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DxpQAohFQK0 Arcade racers are one of those golden genres for me like shmups, beat 'em ups, and RTS where if someone makes a new one, I will be there checking it out ASAP. So I was quite interested when this dropped on Steam at the end of December, but its $20 pricetag was too high to consider for a complete unknown with very few reviews. Just a month later it dropped to $10 and $5 on sale, and you bet, I'll spend a fiver to take a chance on new arcade racer. On the positive side, this game is really built out with many tracks, cars, car upgrade items, and race modes. There's a lot here and it feels enjoyably old school in that way, back when games used to be mostly single player focused. Also, it looks pretty good. Sure, I guess you could classify these graphics something around the level of "high end mobile gaming," but that's fine. They won't dazzle you but look just fine on a 4K screen. The downside, unfortunately, is the driving physics themselves, which is the one thing you really have to get right. Now, they're not *terrible*, but there's two flaws to them that stop this game from being legit good and instead keep it in mediocre territory. …5 found this helpful
A very atmospheric setting. It's not a simulation game, but if you love arcade racing, it's highly recommended. The only downside is the handbrake, which reacts very sharply. It takes some time to get used to it.3 found this helpful
I don't break any traffic laws, because I just don't obey them haha it's a good game. + special thanks for the multiple camera view + retro style + reference to old legendary car arcade series + maybe it's better played on mobile but why not? I enjoyed it. p.s add more maslcars oooooh yeahhhhhh1 found this helpful
Yes, it's a good game. But there is one thing that I don't like is that the developer chose to place the handbrake button on the key: (left CTRL of the keyboard) and I hate that, it's not the standard default configuration for the location of the handbrake. The default location, which is ideal and best suited, is the space bar. And another thing I don't have is that we can't change the layout of the keys, because if we would have at least been able to change it, I would have chosen the space bar for the Handbrake. But no, it's impossible to change the configuration of the controls. Otherwise aside from the incorrect handbrake layout, I have nothing to say this game is awesome. Dear developer if you read my review, please play and change the default layout of the handbrake and make sure to place the handbrake key on the spacebar key of the keyboard. THANKS. ;)
The game feels like it has potential, but the execution just isn’t there. The game crashes randomly, which already kills the momentum, but even when it does run, it’s missing basic quality‑of‑life features — you can’t even change keybinds. The graphics are serviceable at best, but nothing stands out, and the maps all blend together to the point where every race feels the same. The driving itself isn’t enjoyable either. None of the cars feel good to handle, upgrades barely make a difference, and car customisation is extremely limited. Ramps are especially janky and will flip you for no reason. The AI is another major issue. They’re nearly impossible to spin out, yet they can send you flying with the slightest tap. On Hard difficulty, they basically cheat — one mistake, even at the very start of a race, guarantees you’ll be dead last with no chance to recover. With so few game modes and so many rough edges, the whole experience ends up feeling like something you’d find in an old arcade in Blackpool for £1 a race.
Cars are cool, it's cool to ride, the game is cool, it's cool!
