About Katana Robo: RTA

Story
To thwart Samurai Robo's plan to take control of all the robots in the universe by awakening the Dominion Sphere from the highest point on the planet Mechanos, Katana Robo rushes to the Robot Tower, which looks like a platformer game stage made up of buildings, cars, space battleships, and more. Raising his Dominion Sphere as high as he can, Samurai Robo harnesses the power of the Dominion Sphere to bring objects together to create an impromptu robot tower, which is defended by numerous enemy robots that serve Samurai Robo. Katana Robo's journey includes battles with a variety of enemy robots, and it's up to you to destroy the Dominion Sphere before Samurai Robo can fully awaken it and turn the robots of the universe into his minions.

Game Features
Katana Robo: RTA is an 'Mechiro+Only Up Style RTA Action' game, where players utilize their honed action and platformer skills from various games to reach the top floor of the Robot Tower and destroy the Dominion Sphere in the shortest time possible. This game demands quick reflexes and precise controls, while also emphasizing strategic thinking and timing in its unique gameplay.

6/10 This game gets better the more you play. pros: - They got banger music - ♥♥♥♥ got REAL good after you got your upgrade - Robots - Good final battle - Some part of the game have satisfying movement sequence cons: (now this is the real part) - Banger music doesn't go well with the game as this game doesnt really have fast pace movement. even if you go fast, once you go bump into a platform with slight elevation difference, you will ♥♥♥♥ your speed - Rails doesnt have any stickiness. It is awkward to jump into the rail - Character feels floaty and jump is not that high - Slopes is too slippery - Battle is meaningless, just a gimmick. REAL battle is only at the final boss You might want this game if you're into Only Up and might want something different as this is just Only Up with steroid ps: i only buy this game since dev say this is a 'mechiro' and i expected sekiro13 found this helpful
Im quick to post this review bc there are hardly any, and it's on sale now. I've played for 10 minutes and it's already the most refreshing action game in years. You will see my hours grow. Makes me sad they delisted Ninja Blade, my sweet friends. -It's relaxing enough to chill out, enemies don't seem to kill you but poor platforming will. However it's intense enough if you want it, as you are gonna want to try for speedruns. -Superbly honed controls with easy to execute maneuvers and varied combat & platforming style types. Highly recommended and it runs great on Steam Deck as an FYI. One of the most satisfying mech games out there imo - just feels fun to play.5 found this helpful
on the fence about this game...i really enjoyed the music, the world was cool, the platforming was fun but the biggest issue i'd have to say is how floaty and stiff the robo is. it's manageable once you get the hang of it, but that's definitely what's holding this game back from potentially more buyers if i am being honest. it's short, cheap and for what it is it's decent, which is why im giving it a thumbs up. however, beware that you will need to adjust to the character movement, otherwise i really did enjoy the platforming and music for a good price.4 found this helpful
I cannot recommend this game. The beginning is just a modified version of Only Up with mechs and swords. THe controls are so bad that even the developer knew so added in checkpoints. Got stuck (glitched) many times which made me lose progress. All the enemies are easy and pretty much fodder. That is until the last person in which they decided to become some awful Sekiro/Dark Souls type boss on MAXIMUM DIFFICULTY. The issue is you never use your weapons really in the first hour and a half then you are playing against something with a plateau of a learning curve. You are given like a push bike and then suddenly you are supposed to go downhill mountain biking on a trail that you have to sign a waiver to go down. The game is janky and could have been fun but the last boss even though I bet it after like 15 minutes. SUCKS. Again, CANNOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!!!! Before the last boss I could have said recommend with many caveats but the boss shows that the developer really needs to develop their skills.2 found this helpful
Amazing sound track and an awesome game like climb up and ghost runner the levels are easy where i had around 10 death counts and the final boss tutorial comes in mid fight which is stupidly bad and i don't know where to concentrate and died like 30 time to the boss as i could not even standup after downed. FFS make it so that there is a 2-3 second delay. Apart from that annoying boss its great and can vibe to the soundtrack. Definitely Recommended!!!1 found this helpful
What an absolute trash heap of a game...sloppy movement, controls, platforming, progression you name it. It's so asinine it literally bores you. Great job Twin Halo great job...
