About Kenophobia
STORY:
The year is 2008. The UGG Research Institute does an experiment and attempts opening a portal to The Backrooms. However, the experiment goes horribly wrong, corrupting The Frontrooms leaving unstable surfaces, leading to the Backrooms unwillingly should someone fall down.
The player starts recording a vlog. He takes all his necessary equipment and is about to leave his house, when suddendly he falls through the floor and lands in the Backrooms, where there's nothing but the stink of old moist carpet, the madness of monoyellow, the endless background noise of fluorescent lights at maximum hum-buzz, and approximately six hundred million square miles of randomly segmented empty rooms to be trapped in, along with other areas that have yet to be explored.
The player has to make their way back to The Frontrooms, solving various puzzles on their journey.

Kenophobia is a psychological horror game inspired by The Backrooms, taking appearance of a Found Footage style game. You wander across so-called liminal spaces and progressively go to other levels, solving puzzles that might be present within the various levels in order to return to the Frontrooms.

This game was fantastic until you had to run for your life. Everything before that was great. Dunno what happens after because that one level is just out of nowhere and stupid.2 found this helpful
Updated review: Had a few issues, contacted dev. Received immediate response. Dev really helpful. Really great game with fun objectives and levels. Interesting environments and spaces to explore. I am enjoying the game so it's a 10/10 from me and worth the price. It's obvious a lot of work went into the game. The issues I had were minor. I wasn't able to crouch but it didn't effect the game-play. I highly recommend this game if you like backrooms style games.1 found this helpful
Great game!
Ended up really liking this one. Wide variety of levels, including several I haven't seen in other games, and they're varied in size. I think the first level was the only one I felt like I could really get lost in. The rest of them I felt I could get a sense of the entire map after a bit. That is neither a positive nor a negative, just an observation. Walking and running speeds both felt reasonable. My biggest complaint is that there's no level select. I accidentally exited the shopping area and would like to go back to explore some more, but I don't necessarily want to play the entire game again up to that point. Second biggest complaint is a tie: (1) the blurriness is difficult to tolerate after a bit and it doesn't seem to respond to any graphics setting changes, and (2) can't disable the head bob, but it actually isn't that bad after a bit. I am someone who typically hates entities in games. This game has two and I'm actually OK with them since they're the two kinds of entities I can live with. 1. [spoiler]Kitty in Kitty's House. It slowly moves toward you but it doesn't appear to actually do anything when it catches up to you, so it's not a hindrance to exploration. [/spoile…

A very fantastic amazing liminal backrooms experience that will have you exploring many realistic areas and having fun. There are a great number of levels that are very big. Overall 10/10 and i figured out how to beat it! I really loved the mall level and the final one
