Platformer with nice pixel art and fair difficulty. The story is minimal. You are a guard in charge of watching the king's treasury. One day you fall asleep, and all the gold is stolen. Now the king expects you to recover all of the treasure. Stages are picked by wandering around the map and visiting dungeons. The kingdom map sits in the center, with four thematic (fire, cold, etc.) worlds in each direction. The map is quite attractive, and while it appears pixelated across the screen due to the lower scale, it is full of cute little details and characters. You can speak with them, although most have nothing interesting to say. The only important characters have an exclamation point above them, indicating that they have a quest for you. The main game takes place within dungeons. They're marked with flashing circles, making them difficult to miss. Each universe has its own features and threats. Once inside, the game transitions to a side-scrolling platformer. Each stage is made up of multiple screens, and the aim is to find keys that open colored doors. Controls sometimes stop responding out of the blue. But overall its a nice retro game. I would rate it 7/10.
Addictive platformer. Nice graphics, gameplay, and gorgeous music. Great game!
