this story is pretty bad tbh its lack of direction its terrible plot and the decisions you make are so random even if you want to go a certain way you will be forced to do something different at a different point. this is nothing like choice of robots which is superior to this and choice of alexandria is also a good one compared to the rest of the choice novel games i suggest checking those 2 out instead of this

This is one game that I will warmly recommend, despite my initial reservations due to me knowing of it's comedic tone (I don't like comedy most of the time). It's a more lighthearted story than a lot of CoG / Hosted Games works usually are, but still has some heavier subjects here and there, and a surprisingly compelling cast of characters. Of course, it's not without a few cons, but the pros outweight them heavily, in my opinion. PROS: - The story itself: it's well structured and the pacing makes it so it never gets dull. - The characters: they are intentional clichés, sort of stereotypes of often seen fantasy archetypes. But the "parody" here is obviously intended, and their two dimensional premise adds to their actual appeal in how interestingly it's written. Not to mention, the few unexpected aspects are also pretty compelling. As an example, you have the love interest I had picked, your typical "knight in shining armor" - but you learn pretty fast that [spoiler]he's initially in it only because he wants to become king, and he never actually shies away from saying that out loud, even until the very end - that doesn't prevent the MC from loving him if you want them to, and …

I think i just wasted my 2$ on this o_O i like the company tho they've been on my radar since my last year of grade school. it's fun but doesn't offer a lot of replay value. i mean.. i squeezed 5 hours out of it out of sheer will to see if there were more interesting paths, but it got repetitive around the 2nd/3rd time afaik. i think there are better stories in the choice of games arsenal

Not sure why this game has so many negative reviews; its a fun and lighthearted cyoa for a steal. Not perfect by any means but I enjoyed the writing, the characters, the choices and the story - and it stands up to be replayed multiple times!

Delightfully written. You will need to play through more than once to grok the mechanics, once you do shaping the story to your aims becomes much easier, especially once you see the author's style of cause and effect. I laugh every time I play. I cried at the death of a monster. Sobbed honestly. Artistically brilliant.

This was a fun bit of whimsy. I enjoyed it. It's silly but the writing is actually really funny, and the story is pretty entertaining too.
