There is so much to love about this game that it would take a small book to detail it all. Basically you play the role of the heroine of the story. You roam around exploring the world and meeting NPCs that will give you side-quests. You pick up random treasure and hire soldiers and monsters in your army for battles. There is a plethora of items to buy, upgrade and outfit your warrior princess and as she adventures she will gain experience to upgrade her "tech-tree" of abilities and spells. No to mention that you also receive the help of a baby dragon that also advances in levels and NPCs that you can equip with items. The NPC helpers do not show up in the battles as does your dragon and army, but they do add bonuses. While exploring the world is done in real-time, the battles are turn-based on a hex grid. The animations are top-notch and fun to watch. If you are a fan of games like Heroes of Might and Magic, then this game should certainly appeal to you. Even though there is not city building per say, the idea of the armies, combat and hero advancement are the same. This particular product contains the original game and expansions all of which are fun and worth taking the …6 found this helpful

This is one of my absolute favorite games ever! The fairy-tale like graphics kept the game looking great even after so many years passed. Fantastic music, exciting battles, a cutie-dragon whats not to like? The only downside to this game is that the dragon is less exciting then the 'box' from the original, atmosphere is a bit less light hearted, but overall its a vastly imroved experience. It is a great shame that Katauri went out of business. Them and Troika games. Get the game, play it you wont be dissapointed!
