It's ok but doesn't really give the payoff most idle games start to get after dumping the hours in I suppose my main gripe is that the game starts slowish then just gets slower with minimal/no additions aside from a small amount of automation for some resources and crafting. After a while you unlock perma passive resource gain on everything so it just turns into a waiting game while you manually queue up things every few days to work towards the later unlocks... just isn't giving me a reason to keep booting it up

fableverse 2 is a good game

The start of the game is good, but I gave up after poking around in the menus. Machines offer insanely valuable QoL that will eliminate a large portion of the grind to make just about anything. However, Machines start off at costing 100k gold while you are making... 5 gold per item? You could use Gold Flowers for passive gold gain, but that is a terrible idea because they only give 1 gold PER MINUTE. Let's break down the math to see how long it takes to make back the 2500 gold cost for one Gold Flower at its pathedic rate of 1 gold per minute. 2500 gold / 60 minutes in an hour = 41.666 hours to make back your investment Add in that you can spend 1250 gold to purchase fertilizer to level up your Gold Flower to Lv2 and get... 2 gold per minute. Leveling the Gold Flower again will cost an additional 2 fertilizer for another 2500 gold. So, you can triple your base gold production to 3 gold per minute for 3750 gold. This puts the total cost of a Lv3 Gold Flower at 6,250 gold. 6250 gold / 3 gold per minute = 2,083.6 minutes to make a positive return on your investment. 2083.6 / 60 minutes = 34.7 hours to make back your gold investment per Gold Flower. It's fine, but I have idlers I like more, other similar games. I would give it a 4-6, but Steam insists on up or down. I would not buy it again, but it was interesting to check out on sale. More systems than most idlers, just not compelling to me, or to my taste.

A solid base of a game, with a pretty strong start. End game could use something more. I'm just starting my push to unlock the final set of pets, and there's nothing for me to do to help that beyond putting pets in the sanctuary. This is the same pattern I've done five times before, and realistically only mining forced me to make choices as I tried to balance the various tool and machine upgrades against unlocking pets.

Long term idle game with no MTX. I like it so far!
