Konbini Simulator is a small independent management simulation developed and published by mobaroid that places players in charge of operating a Japanese-style convenience store. The term “konbini” refers to the iconic convenience stores that are a staple of everyday life across Japan, known for their compact layouts, wide product selection, and steady flow of customers. The game attempts to recreate the feeling of managing such a store by giving players direct control over the daily operations of a small retail space. Instead of focusing on grand-scale economic systems or corporate expansion, the experience revolves around the routine tasks of stocking shelves, organizing products, assisting customers, and gradually improving the store’s efficiency. The gameplay unfolds primarily from a first-person perspective, allowing players to move freely around the store and interact with various objects and systems. Much of the early gameplay centers on preparing the store for business. Bought on sale for 0,99€ but I can hardly recommend it, except if you want a good laugh over the asset tags, models breaking down and a bug that re-arranges your shelf items (or just simply refills like magic) upon loading a saved game. The game itself feels bare, after just a short time you notice that there's only a few character models and clothes it cycles through for the customers but some of them break down and cause glitches. I didn't even notice that I unlocked a second store area until I got completely bored and started exploring, but it's hardly needed. There's vending machines that you apparently own and can stock, but the customers still walk to the store register to pay. If you buy items to re-stock too quickly, the game bugs out and can't handle it and simply deletes them (or in my case, two got delivered, the third one vanished someplace). One item was never even in the box and when I tried to stock them, it just said I couldn't use this shelf (none worked), and when trying to toss the "empty" box the bin doesn't accept it either because it has items in it in some weird separate dimension.

I just hope that this game will be supported, because it looks mostly like EARLY ACCESS. Also! VOLUME WARNING! Mouse movement is terrible. Please, make a switch to turn off the "smoothing" effect. It's causing nausea. Proper product names would be wonderful and search options just optional. You need to have different place for delivery and trash. Currently, it's a mess. Hitboxes are bugged, e.g. Placement, Price tag. It's a shame you cannot replace a product that's already on the shelf. Lack of keybinding layout. Lag spikes in the middle of the game. Textures are missing. Restock employee would be nice. As well as storage room. So... there's two shops and they can bug their "open" status. You can't have more than 2 employees each (total of 4). Customers tend to leave a single product on the shelf. Sprint with box does nothing. It would be a positive (game is doing its job), but these lag spikes are making the game uncomfortable.

I have tried to give this game ago, I understand this game has just released however, I feel like this game was rushed just to get a quick release. The food items are just a paste and copy with 1, 2 and 3 just added next to the names like the onigiri for example onigiri 1, onigiri 2.. It does not tell you what type of onigiri it is and it is very hard to tell them apart just from the packaging alone. Another issue I have is that if I put an item in the fridge on the wrong shelf by accident, it won't let me pick it up again no matter how hard I try. So the items I was organizing is not correct. I don't want to list every issue I have with this game as I am not here to bash this game to the full but what I will say is, I do hope that the bugs I have encountered change and that the game is updated and certain things are changed. It just feels like a very base game with a couple of things chucked in to keep you going. I hope the dev will give their love to this game and open new possibilities, take in the reviews and see what to change with a positive light.
