It's a pretty fun game at its core, but I can't for the life of me recommend it due to many technical issues. - There's a severe lack of sound effects. - Jumping near an enemy can count as you jumping on them causing you to fail pacifist challenges. - Enemies killed or coins collected in secrets count towards their respective challenges, but are not accounted for in the count (once I only killed one enemy and enemy kill challenge was complete even though I had to kill 8). - Barrels count towards the destroy crates challenge, but once again are not accounted for in the totals (this challenge in level 15 is impossible to complete as there are only 18 crates + 1 barrel, but you're tasked to destroy 20). - Dying resets the jump counter, trivializing limited jump challenges. - It seems that resetting the level after completing a challenge has the challenge still marked as done but the rewarded star is not counted in totals. This has caused me to become unable to finish the game (game thinks I have 80 stars even though I have 92 (31X3-1). There's also only one save file and no way to reset progress. - Sometimes the camera glitches and I can't see where I'm jumping - Exiting the g…14 found this helpful
A fun and fast paced 3D platformer, feeling sorta Crash Bandicootish (it flips between side on and into the screen gameplay) with a very strong focus on platforming. While there are enemies to avoid, you'll mostly be focusing on the platforming, finding the secret areas, and clearing the various missions and time attack objectives each stage has. Mission wise its usually stuff like completing the secret missions, defeating all the enemies, getting set number of coins etc) and honestly I dont mind them - the game has a very nice pacing to it where your always running forward, never just left waiting on platforms, a real treat for people wanting to speed run the game. Combat wise its just the usual "jump on enemies", its secondary to the platforming, doesnt get in the way, and thankfully doesnt slow things down.5 found this helpful

🎪🎪🎪 Achievement Hunter Review 🎪🎪🎪 My Time to Beat: currently at 4.8hrs but cannot finish due to unobtainable achievements 100% achievement difficulty: Easy difficulty for a platformer Achievements: 10 achievements ( only if you could obtain them ) Type Breakdown: 70% collection of stars, 20% boss beating, 10% buying a hat Playthroughs: one, short 32 levels Missable: no Grinding: no Restricted: yes DLC Achievements: no Speed Run: you do need to complete the levels under certain time to get a medal Multiplayer: no Time gated: no Known bugs: oh man, there are at least 5 achievements that are unobtainable, the one for beating bosses ( where are the bosses?! ) and to collect 100 medals and 100 stars ( 32 levels x 3 start != 100 ) 🎪🎪🎪 More achievement hunting reviews 🎪🎪🎪1 found this helpful
Boss fight achievements with no boss fights in the game huh? So, how exactly are you supposed to get these achievements? I hate broken games. Its a shame too, because this one was a lot of fun for me.
The gameplay itself is decent enough, you can turn your brain off and have some fun jumping around, collecting coins, earning stars and gold medals to some fairly low difficulty. HOWEVER, while the game is playable and kinda fun, it has many technical issues and seems to have been abandoned by the devs. Here are some examples: - There are simply no configurations and it doesn't even really have a proper main menu. You just go from title screen to level selection, than you can pause in-game and return to the level selector. That's about it. The whole UI/UX is super janky. - On that note: it's impossible to quit the game. You have to ALT + TAB out of it to close it. - It doesn't really have "full controller support". While it is possible to play it with a controller, all the prompts always refer to a keyboard. I'd say "partial". - Some sound effects are obviously missing. Not sure if it's a bug or it if they simply were never made. - Terrible localization: the game automatically detects the system language and it's impossible to change it in-game. My computer is in Portuguese and so I'm forced to play it in Portuguese too, with an awkwardly bad translation. Some parts of the …
