Another Crab's Treasure

Game is good, i recommend you just play it and don't read below. It's only about 15h (when you look around all areas and fight everything). But i have some grievances, in no particular order: -garbage story- I get it, it's a story of someone being pushed around all life, but i couldn't bear it. From about half the game I skipped all dialog and cut scenes (and didn't miss much, looking up the story on YouTube after finishing the game). The story itself is made for children (but the game is definitely too hard for kids), all characters either good or bad. Man I don't even want to think about it anymore. Just skip all story. -broken mechanics- some skills/upgrades/combinations are too strong. And I don't mean "kinda good" but "you just mash attack and spell and tank all damage". Lifesteal is OP, sponge for more mana from attacks OP. In the last "part" of the game (about when crab Daniel Plainview stuff happens) I mostly mashed, and only the last boss required any amount of trying to dodge, but even he wasn't that hard anymore. -hard beginning, balanced middle, easy late game- kinda redundant from before, but the game starts REALLY hard. Do NOT buy this game thinking it will be some silly zelda-like adventure, this a souls-like through and through and while the difficulty of it lies in some different aspect than those from FromSoft, it is very much still there. Incredible game all the same but damn. Some parts got me ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up. Also if you have not already, you WILL develop class consciousness as you traverse the ocean

It is an amazing game with a lot of fun and comedically apt characters and in addition the majority of the boss fights are quite fun.

Great game! Cozy yet challenging, whimsical yet poignant. Love it! And the sea creature references and facts are pretty accurate. Give this a try!

I originally started following the development of this game on TikTok and I watched it go from unrendered silliness to the awesome game it is now! It's so high quality and definitely difficult, don't let the cuteness factor fool you. The soundtrack is definitely one of my favorite parts so far, I can't wait to play more!

It's like if you crossed [i]Splatoon[/i] with [i]Dark Souls[/i], and it worked. Very good political messaging in an earnest but hilarious way. Combat is sooo fun once you get the hang of it, and if you don't, there is a very fun accessibility option. (I'll admit to having used it in one area because I wanted to max out and the enemies there are harder than any boss but I it was too fun not to do)(though I would also suggest a game speed adjuster as an alternative accessibility feature, as I am told that is a legitimate and meaningful thing to have).
