If you love the story of "La Llorona", then don't play this game. This is a poorly made game with AI VOs, generic assets, & low effort that's a total disrespect to the legendary tale and culture.7 found this helpful
The game involves a group of friends who want to prove the existence of La Llorona, a vengeful ghost lady from the Mexican lore. Sadly, despite interesting setting, the game is poorly done because it relies on various building blocks that don’t work together and cause bugs. First of all, the game makes use of pre-made assets that you have most likely seen in other games, such as the dark mansion with barred doors and corridors. Second, it employs the generic horror UI with a throbbing heart, a diary with objectives, and, worst of all, a lighter and flashlight that require batteries or fuel to work. I am not sure why developers think it’s a good idea to include this ridiculous mechanic. These games always require you to search for items in the dark, and once you lose all sources of light, you are pretty much stuck and unable to do anything. But while you can get over the mostly borrowed assets, the game falls apart on technical level. Optimization is always bad with these games, so this one doesn’t change that. The major problem are bugs, lack of objectives, and invisible walls. For instance, you need to shoot someone, but the game doesn’t show that you’re making progress. I …7 found this helpful
The graphics are sick, and the sound effects totally pull you into every scene, making everything way creepier. The characters and vibe are spot-on for keeping you on edge with that constant sense of fear. I was legit anxious having to face the priest or sprint from La Llorona. Highly recommend it for anyone who loves a good scare with that extra adrenaline kick.2 found this helpful
La Llorona is a legendary tale rich with emotion, tragedy, and cultural meaning. Unfortunately, this game falls far short of honoring its source material. The storytelling feels shallow, doing little to capture the haunting essence of the myth. The environments and assets are generic and lack an atmospheric touch that could set the stage for a chilling narrative. Voice acting is handled by AI, which results in flat, lifeless performances that break any immersion the story tries to build. There is a clear sense of minimal effort in almost every aspect, from the clunky design to the uninspired visuals. Fans who come looking for a meaningful or respectful adaptation of La Llorona’s legend are likely to come away disappointed. With so many better ways to explore this iconic folklore, this game is best skipped.1 found this helpful

I typically do not give bad reviews for games. But in the case la boringa wants your sanity, I will make an exception! Bad optimization, AI voice overs and such an incoherent plot!! If it was free I would say go for it, but for 9.99, do NOT waste your time!! PS. I bought this on sale for .99 cents, and it still wasn't worth it!!
