✦ AI summary
Players praise this atmospheric horror game for its effective scares, compelling mystery told through found notes, and immersive exploration of a creepy abandoned facility. However, complaints center on the game being just a single chapter lasting only 1.5-2 hours despite its full price, feeling more like an extended demo, while some find the reliance on jump scares and the invincible monster chase sequences derivative of overused horror tropes.
The story follows a man who decides to explore an island on which they kept patients with infectious diseases. Some people survived, but the majority did not. However, the island was shut off and the facility's door closed due to an unknown illness that led individuals to go insane. The gameplay consists of exploring abandoned locations in search of keys or other items that will allow you to move forward. Items are slightly bright to make them more visible in dark environment. Compared to similar games, there are a lot of notes sprinkled about that explain what happened. Logic puzzles are rare and typically involve solving door codes or bringing an object to the correct spot. Although you collect items, there’s no way to examine them. This is not a big deal because everything is used in the area and there are only a few locked doors. Your notepad with objectives is a nice but not particularly useful feature. It generally writes "you found this or that", but the experience is linear, so you know what to do. Scary atmosphere is delivered with occasional random sound, ghosts, and creatures that chase you around. They show up only in rare situations and can be easily avoided by hid…4 found this helpful
Short but Scary yet Incredible experience. I look forward to the other chapters! I hope we'll have the chance to play also the next chapters or have a sequel! That was really fun!2 found this helpful

This game is a hidden gem for those who love atmospheric horror-mystery games. The dungeon with the abomination chasing you around was easily the f scariest part of the game for me.
Ehhhhhh...I don't know that I'd RECOMMEND this, but I don't want to give it negative. It's not bad for what it is, clunky but decent little haunted house romp, but what it is is only ONE CHAPTER of a full game. It's 1.5-2 hours tops even if you're being thorough. I have no damn clue how people are spending 5-6 hours on one run on this. I can only assume they're getting stuck in the mazes in the end? (which frankly do feel like padding, but you can also skip 1-2 of them if they're getting annoying). Maybe worth getting if you see it on deep sale for under $2 like I did, but this is just a piece of a game. More like an extended demo, but that you pay for. Probably better to play it when the full game is done, if that ever even happens.
Just another typical 2010's "run and hide from the invincible monster" simulator in the vein of the vastly overrated Slenderman, where the majority of the story is told through pamphlets and notes. It also constantly throws jump-scare after jump-scare at you. No thanks.
