Leashed Soul

a typical 'draw a line across the level and remove all removable blocks' kinda puzzler with 50 easy levels, executed so horribly it's impossible to recommend. the character moves at a snail's pace, camera movement is so slow it's almost non-existant and it re-centers as soon as the guy starts moving (zooming the camera out more or letting players do it would've fixed this), you can slide off ice blocks and fail a level even though you're supposed to slide towards the next block, and there's no undo even though it was promised. there are separate volume sliders, but effects still play if you turn them down, and while I'm not one to care about graphics too much, especially in a puzzler, the game simply looks cheap, though turning off shadows helped somewhat. the only positive I can say is you can automate movement by setting a path and watch the level slowly play out, saves on a lot of clicking, but there's no way to cancel a planned path, only by going back to where you started, block by block, and you have to do most levels in chunks, have to stop at buttons or intersections or whatever. speaking of buttons, you can only find out what they do if you set a path on them, a simple mo…

A nice game to noodle around w/ a bit while you're having your morning coffee, particularly if your brain wakes up more slowly than it used to. ;) At 50 levels for $5 US, the price breaks down to ten levels per dollar, & I think enough thought was put into this game merit that; you probably won't repeat play it often, but once a year or so, it's nice to come back to. The graphics are simple yet creative; I personally like the juxtaposition of the mechanical vs. the natural, & thought the seasonal change to be a nice touch to add a bit more visual interest. My one real criticism is that it's impossible to see some levels in toto, so that the difficulty on those relies on guesswork. But overall, I've enjoyed this game enough to have no problem recommending it.

TL;DR 4/10 overly simplistic, mobile game; relaxing and enjoyable Why did I recommend? Because I am being honest--It was a relaxing, enjoyable experience with no thought or inspiration needed to solve the puzzles. The game suffers from a false sense of complexity. Certain buttons will trigger permanent paths to connect parts of the puzzle, which results in overly simplifying the puzzle for you. Pre-walk to a button to see what it does--otherwise, there is no logical way to choose the correct path. The music is enjoyable; the graphics are cute, though there are many useless background blocks for senseless imagery. Only the last 5 of 50 levels required any consideration. 4/10 A game that belongs on a mobile device--not a PC. For $0.50, it may trick you into thinking you are smart.

Reminds me a lot of "Garden of Logic" from Wii Party - great Game. Love the "spoopy" design of the character and the art style. Replay value is there, but only after leaving the game for a while. Don't bother playing the game in any other language than english - the translation is kinda rubbish.
