✦ AI summary

Players praise Lego Horizon Adventures as a charming, humorous entry in the Lego game series with accessible gameplay and a surprising fit between the Horizon universe and Lego aesthetic. However, the game is hampered by mandatory PlayStation Network login requirements that prevent offline play, repetitive combat and level design, and characterization choices that alienate fans of the original Horizon games, particularly the simplified portrayal of protagonist Aloy.

Thanks to Sony PlayStation for unlocking PSN access and adding my region—but only for PC. It’s a decent game, perfect for just relaxing and having a good time. I got 100% of the achievements on Steam.

Its okay. I might like it if I got further into the game but the fact they don't stick to the story of the other games irks me. It seems like they've lobotomised Aloy as she's very dumb and chipper and bubbly in this game which doesn't fit her character at all if you've played the other games. It makes sense for a Lego game I guess, but they could've made her more kid friendly without making her seem like a dumb valley girl 19 year old :/ If you haven't played the other two Horizon games then you might like this one as it veers from the story quite a bit and you don't need to know the other two to play this one. Refunding it but might play it again in the future idk.

The game doesnt know what it wants to be and its bad at everyting it does. The combat gets extremely repetetive super fast and the levels are linear with barely anything to explore.

A game filled with classic Lego humour, simple to understand mechanics and repetitive gameplay. I have not played a Lego game before this one, and was interested in how the world of Horizon would fit into the Lego block aesthetic. In my opinion, it was well-suited, which I was surprised by, and felt quite 'natural'. The story from the original Horizon game is condensed and has been changed slightly to match Lego themes, which I did not find too out of place. Although the game is not as impactful, it still managed to make me chuckle and gave some heartwarming moments between fights. I did enjoy the silly Lego humour that I have come to be familiar with in the films, and it was a good game to return to when I did not feel like playing anything too intensive. There is a 'decorating' mechanic where you unlock sets to bring life to the little hub world, which I also found enjoyable. If you are looking for something to kill time and are a fan of either franchise, I can recommend this game. I would try to get it on a good sale, though, as it is not a long title and there is not too much to do after completing the main story.

This game really feels so lackluster. The combat becomes so tired so quickly and the enemies are very same-y beyond when they introduce a new boss enemy. The humour is somewhat amusing but not a lot of content. I really wouldn't even recommend this on a sale

To me best Lego game ever! I have played Horizon games and I always like the LEGO games, but also I get a bit destracted from time to time because of the constant need to switch characters or what my next step is. This LEGO Horizon combination works great! I especially like I don't need to switch characters, but I do get a great story, a fierce and funny Aloy and a smooth game. I understand that it's not the usual LEGO game, but still a very decent game that works and brings you the LEGO humor. What's not to like?
