One of my favorite games of the reboot series. The soundtrack is some of the best and the platforming is the most polished and glitch free out of the era. I also didn't get lost much, I only got stuck about 2 times in my first playthrough and it's straightforward in how it's laid out. The story isn't anything to write home about, but the map variety, variety in boss battles and environments and puzzles to climb around are absolute 10/10! My only gripe with this game is that the motorcycle sequences suck, everything else is good! The boss battles feel like Elden Ring at times, but it never gets to the point that it's infuriating. You always have plenty of time to execute the boss killing moves. I even went back for a second playthrough on timed mode because of how smooth and predictable the platforming is. The OST is by far the best of this era and It has this awesome early 2000's nostalgia downtempo feel. The tracks have BASS, which was the first thing that caught my attention. It's truly electric and I found myself playing for the music after a certain point. Best level OSTs In my opinion are: Japan, Nepal and Croft Manor. I feel such a sense of calm whenever I hear the Croft…

I remember this game fondly as being the first good Tomb Raider game in a long while that got the franchise back on the right track after it has gone downhill in the early 2000s. This game combined stunning graphics at the time with cool and challenging levels and a lot of cool costumes that you can all unlock by actually playing the game and mastering the levels to beat the time trials instead of having to pay for lame costume DLCs that all look the same like in the 2013/16/18 reboot games (although these are good games, too). This game is currently on sale for less than 1€ and that's an absolute steal -- I would buy it again if I didn't already own it twice -- once on Steam and on a physical DVD from the time when that was still a thing...

I’m happy people have fond memories of this game but in my opinion it’s heavily nostalgia goggles. I’m a life long tomb raider fan but managed to skip out on this particular era other than briefly playing anniversary. I recently replayed through the survivor trilogy and I’ve owned these on steam for ages so I was looking forward to finally enjoying another trilogy but man I don’t think this game aged well. Lara often does the opposite of what you want her to do, the controls are just awkward feeling especially moving blocks and the horrible forklift section. I feel like there are little to no puzzles in the game and it’s way too action oriented. The bad guys are either brain dead easy on easier difficulties or major bullet sponges on anything else. The quick time events also aged horribly. It has some really nice sections in certain levels but for every good thing it did it would follow it up with something bad like very gimmicky bosses that always have some stupid mechanic to make it where you can’t outright kill them. The atmosphere of being alone in a tomb exploring is completely ruined by the near nonstop communication from her two buddies that are always throwing out stupid …
