Leif’s Adventure is a story-driven, cooperative 2D action-adventure that celebrates the power of friendship, drawing inspiration from Nordic folklore. Play solo or team up with a friend, seamlessly switching between Leif and his loyal sidekick, Ghost, each possessing unique abilities. Defend your village of Hammerfall from a mysterious evil invasion as you evade traps, solve intricate puzzles, upgrade your gear, and unlock new abilities. Embark on an epic journey and become the hero the Netherworld never saw coming.
Navigate through a richly diverse world, exploring six unique realms filled with side-quests, hidden treasures and colorful characters, each with their own background story. Battle a variety of creatures, powerful secret bosses, and other deadly adversaries. Use Ghost's supernatural talents alongside Leif's physical abilities to delve into the deepest reaches of each realm.
Play Leif's Adventure in single-player mode or switch to local co-op mode at any time and play together with a friend. Leif excels in fighting, jumping, and running, while Ghost can find hidden areas, activate ethereal objects and platforms, collect items, and stun enemies.
Equip Leif with a wide range of weapons including swords, hammers, axes, and spears. Collect and use weapons dropped by enemies. Each weapon is imbued with unique elemental abilities like fire, ice, and electricity.
Enhance Leif's abilities with a variety of skills such as meteor-strike, air attack, and weapon throws. Upgrade weapons, including his signature hammer, and maximize his health.

This game gave me massive motion sickness. So if that's something you're sensitive for be mindful and don't try to push through when you notice it. I noticed it immediately but continued because sometimes it just takes some time, in this case it only got worse. I can't really comment on the game itself, seeing as I refunded it after 7 minutes of gameplay. Normally I wouldn't write a review after refunding it so soon, but I think it's important to share in this case.2 found this helpful
Leif's Adventure: Netherworld Hero is a 2D Action Platformer with Metroidvania inspired style that will really test your skills in combat, puzzle solving and backtracking. You venture into a journey to save your brother and defend your village from the phantoms king who seeks to destroy it. Immersive art style for all stages and characters as well as the bosses. The soundtracks were top notch. The game has lots of platforming sections and backtracking that will keep you on your toes, punishing boss fights and lots of secrets to discover. I had a slow start but the game keeps getting better as your progress further into the story, so if you're reading this right now, then I suggest you keep trying no matter what and you will see the fruits of your exploration. If one thing I would suggest implementing into the game in the future is controls remapping, other than that I didn't really have any issues with the game and I enjoyed it. I love the art style and the great environments you travel through as a player. The game is a little more difficult in places, but the coop aspect makes it really fun to get through. It's also great that Leif and his playable companion Ghost differ in the tasks, so you always have new and different tasks in which you can take turns if you play coop. Also great for playing with players who are not yet so advanced. I also realised that there are so many things hidden aside to the main goal.2 found this helpful
Leifs adventure is a beautiful and nostalgic game and an absolute gem. It's a lot of fun playing together in couch coop, especially when one of the two isn't an experienced gamer. In many coop games, one player will be overwhelmed while the other one gets bored. Not with Leif. Plus the dialogues are super funny and the song playing after the intro sequence is a masterpiece.
