Lemon is about as simple as a clicker game can get. I am basically sitting there clicking a lemon over and over again to build up my lemon count, and that is pretty much the entire idea. There is something strangely funny about how seriously the game presents such a pointless goal. It is completely free, single player and has a handful of Steam achievements, so I can start it up without having to learn anything or make any real commitment. It is the kind of game I can understand within a few seconds. The main thing that gives it a little more purpose is the inventory drop system. After a certain amount of time I can get mysterious drops, with things like golden lemons, magic lemons and baskets of lemons being part of the joke. I like the idea because it gives me something else to wait for while I am clicking, although it does not suddenly turn Lemon into a deep incremental game. The clicking is still the main activity, and the drops are more of a small extra reason to keep the game open.
