I played this game as a horse crazy little girl. I spent HOURS mastering all the courses and collecting all the horse colors I could ever dream of owning. Playing this game as an adult was such an amazing trip down memory lane. The graphics hold up surprisingly well for a game that is 20 years old. The overall gameplay is repetitive and can be boring in long spurts but I have 20 hours in this game and enjoyed every bit of it. If you're a horse girly (or guy) just buy this game and have fun with how great horse games used to be!5 found this helpful

I always wanted this game when I was a kid, but the opportunity never arose. Now I've finally gotten around to it, and I have to say - I'm surprised, both positively and negatively. The game has held up really well for its age, especially in terms of graphics. It's from 2006, can you believe it? The competitions are fun, and there are a few things to discover (search the map of the outside world for mini-competitions and diligently collect ribbons for first place in competitions). However, the game also gets boring relatively quickly. While there are a few somewhat different disciplines, you unfortunately encounter most of them in practically every single competition – which drags things out and somewhat diminishes the variety. It's a bit of a slog. I do miss a story mode a little. Yes, it probably couldn't have offered a particularly extensive one, but I would have liked at least a very basic plot. Generally, some things are explained too much, and others too little. I spent quite a while getting frustrated with the last tournament until I googled for help and realized I'd backed the wrong horse (literally). I would have loved this game back in the day, and I still quite l…1 found this helpful

I would love a remaster of this game or even for someone to make a proper horse simulator of some kind. (That’s not red dead 2 lol) Honestly love it though. I grew up playing this game as a kid. Ended up losing the disc and saw this was on steam and wanted it immediately. Are the visuals the greatest? No you can tell it’s from the early 2000s. Do the horses turn very well. Not imo no. But it’s worth it for the nostalgia and for the serotonin that released from my brain when seeing the title menu after so many years. You can customize your character and horses and taking caring of them is somewhat realistic. You have to feed them and water them and clean them as well. And there is some open world riding. Love it for the nostalgia but definitely would like a remake or actual horse simulator one day.
