Lifeless

This game literally is lifeless and soulless, Why have zombie games become such terrible games, my favourite genre saturated in garbage. Dayz definitely has to carry some blame, buggiest low budget game that for some reason people play, set the bar pretty low.

Lifeless is an open-world zombie survival game built around exploration, scavenging, combat, character growth, and establishing a foothold in a world overwhelmed by the infected. Developed and published by Desync Donkeys, it takes players into Stillwater Bay, an area where civilization has collapsed and ordinary necessities such as food, water, weapons, and safe shelter have become valuable resources. The concept combines familiar survival mechanics with missions, NPC interactions, crafting, and progression, giving players more direction than a completely unrestricted survival sandbox. Exploration provides the foundation of the experience. Venturing through Stillwater Bay means searching locations for supplies while remaining prepared for encounters with zombies. Every trip away from safety potentially offers useful equipment and materials, encouraging players to investigate their surroundings instead of remaining in one place. Lifeless is a zombie survival game that I found pretty interesting when looking at its 2016 version, mainly because it was trying to combine open world survival with faction warfare. I play in the ruined Stillwater Bay, where infected humans are not the only threat because other survivors can be just as dangerous. I liked the basic idea of having to survive in a world where the people around me might have completely different goals. The survival mechanics are fairly familiar, with me searching buildings for food, equipment and other useful supplies while trying to stay healthy. Scavenging is one of the more enjoyable parts because I never quite know what I am going to find. The world also gives me plenty of reasons to move around instead of staying in one place, and I liked the feeling of having to prepare before venturing somewhere more dangerous. The faction system is probably what makes Lifeless stand out the most for me. I can choose between the Nova Guard and the Spartan Phalanx, with each group having its own identity and goals. Obey The Fist is a chud and is a hypocrite. This game is okay? Like to be honest it can be a bit stuttery at times, and its a bit slow paced. You walk hundreds of meters for starting missions so its very grindy. The game doesnt look too bad but its not something to get excited over. Regardless its can be sorta fun, but atleast try the game, its not as buggy as what Obey The Fist makes it out to be.
