About LIGHT-BRINGER
Witness a psychedelic vision of American Christianity.
LIGHT-BRINGER is a first-person exploration horror game with psychedelic visuals and a harsh noise soundtrack. Explore multiple levels featuring puzzle platforming elements and hidden items, while chaotic FMVs play in sync with the music, creating an inescapable audiovisual nightmare that continuously changes as you explore it.Engage with the temptation of Lucifer and gaze upon his works.
The game explores Lucifer as a metaphor for humanity's capacity for malice. Platforming sections are interspersed with cutscenes during which Lucifer will show you what he has done, and ask you to join him.Watch as Christ's message is contorted and abused by the powers that be.
Environments and in-game videos depict the resurgence of Christofascism in the United States of America, and how its proponents publicly and privately act in ways that are directly contradictory to the teachings of Jesus of Nazareth. Love each other.-Mared JurphySpecial thanks to Tyler Jordan and Curtis Krommenhoek for play-testing LIGHT-BRINGER, and to Chloe Murphy for her invaluable insight throughout the development process.Made using FMOD Studio by Firelight Technologies Pty Ltd.What Steam players say

Headache. That's what this game gave me...a headache. It's like talking to that one relative that has been off of their medication for way too long. I get that it's trying to make waves for discussion and to prove something. But yeah...overall just...bad. And not as thought-provoking as some might think. As someone else said, people will either be scared or get mad by playing this.2 found this helpful

Playtime is low because I played the itch.io build. Game runs fine on Linux, no extra steps required to play. This is a very visually noisy game. I played through all three parts in a single sitting and regret not giving my eyes a break in between parts. This is worth the roughly two hours it takes to experience, but please don't repeat my mistake. The only criticism I have is that mouse sensitivity felt extremely off. I had to increase it through hardware to get a decent turn speed.1 found this helpful
