About Light - Die to Survive

WARNING! This game will provide you with NO HINT.
It's advised to play the DEMO before so you can grasp how the gameplay first.

Light - Die to Survive offers a chilling and unique horror experience that will push your survival instincts to the limit. In this game, there are no hand-holding hints or easy escapes. Your only hope lies in your ability to carefully observe your surroundings and uncover the mysteries that lie within.

The game unfolds across three distinct stages—each more terrifying than the last. You will begin on a dark, desolate road, where every step forward feels like a dangerous gamble. Your journey will lead you into a menacing forest, where every rustle of leaves and snapping of twigs could be a sign of something sinister lurking nearby. Finally, you will find yourself trapped inside a haunted house, filled with eerie whispers and ghostly figures watching your every move.

What sets Light - Die to Survive apart is its minimalist yet highly atmospheric design. There are no complicated mazes to navigate, but that doesn't mean it’s easy. The simplicity of the game’s design heightens the tension—you’ll just need to reach your destination or escape from a specific area, but doing so requires vigilance and an understanding of the environment around you. Every location is shrouded in darkness, and your only tool for survival is your flashlight. With its limited range, it forces you to explore cautiously, knowing that danger could be waiting just beyond the edges of the light.

The night surrounds you, creating a constant feeling of vulnerability. Whether it's the shadows in the distance or the eerie silence, the atmosphere will keep you on edge. But be warned: this is a game of trial and error. Each time you meet your demise, the clock rewinds, allowing you to attempt the challenge again. It’s a cycle of death and rebirth—each failure offering a chance to learn and adapt. Sometimes, you will need to die to uncover a new clue, other times, it will be your persistence that unravels the mystery. This trial-and-error approach tests both your patience and problem-solving skills, making each success all the more rewarding.

With its intense atmosphere, challenging gameplay, and an emphasis on observation and survival, Light - Die to Survive will keep players on their toes from start to finish. The experience becomes more than just a game; it’s a psychological challenge where every death counts and every moment is crucial. The haunting environments, coupled with the thrill of constant danger, will make it impossible to look away.

If you're a fan of horror games that challenge your wits and demand perseverance, then Light - Die to Survive is a must-play. Prepare yourself for an unforgettable journey into the dark, where your only guide is your flashlight, and your only goal is to survive. Will you be able to unravel the mysteries hidden in the night, or will the shadows consume you?

This game is definitely a challenge, and purposefully made to be aggravating. For some reason though, I get addicted to games like this and can't stop until I've conquered them. It ran quite well for me, but I did do a little fiddling with the settings. I think I also encountered a bug, which caused me to lose a couple hours of my life running in circles. That alone would be enough for me to condemn most games, but for some reason I'm going to give this one a pass. As far as I can tell at least, I'm the first person to encounter this one, and the dev quickly fixed a bug that was reported previously, so I'm assuming this will be fixed soon too. If anyone needs any help, here is a guide for the full game. https://youtu.be/A7YrHND9_RE

This game is BRUTAL! I just did a 2 hour Live Stream and well you will see. If you are one of those ppl that love BEYOND Hard games and a really cool game to speed run then this is for you. If you are looking for a simple walking simulator or a not so stressful game then look elsewhere. I enjoyed my time playing it and I will try and beat it after the DEVs polish it, add a feature to turn off Motion Blur, and maybe update it with just a 1% tiny clue! Like they light up or it doesn't glitch. You can see my entire play through over on YouTube! Jay's Horror Gaming LINK | https://youtube.com/live/JZNFWt3XRiQ

This game is the perfect mixture of horror AND rage. Sound is pretty good. Lighting is fine. Performance was solid too. The difficulty depends on how observant you are and willing to repeat actions over and over to slowly progress. I got through Chapter 1 and a little ways in Chapter 2 after 2 hours. I also duh how it is slightly RNG as the placement of some enemies does change on a new game attempt (when you die and "respawn" there is no re-roll of the RNG, however... which seems fair).

Keep in mind the game is very hard, A NO HINT GAME (they even warn you about it), you have to really have a good memory and good wits for this game, the best thing for this game would be for content creators (streamers) to discuss with their audience what to do next, or the possibilities (without spoiling the game). The graphics looks nice and performance is ok on my budget rig. Overall I like the interesting concept and the idea behind this game. Have I finished it yet? No. Will I try to finish it in the future? Yes. (I received a copy of the game on keymailer.co)

I HIGHLY recommend playing the demo version first before you commit to purchase. The game CAN be extremely hard if you fail to understand the concept going in blind. If this game takes off - eventually the masses will know how the game mechanics work via YT videos and guides posted on here. As some have stated already - it's trial and error. I will have a Tutorial video out soon and either post here on steam or on YT. However, I have not beat the game due to a glitch (possibly) at this time 8/4/2024. - Severlight Gaming

the performance is the worst ever, with a 4090 in 4k you get under 30fps. and there's nothing actually happening on the screen... why ? you have no idea what to do, there's no hints, you just keep dying and starting over from the start until you're frustrated and give up, like i did. I just don't have the will to carry on. if you want to laugh at me, watch this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8gLYKuj7-iU
