About LIMINAL PHASE

LIMINAL PHASE is a journey into the dark corners of Frank's fractured mind as he's struggling with psychic pain and teetering on the brink of a mental breakdown. Obsessed with videogames, Frank's world is turned upside down when a floppy disk containing the game Sanctum 3-D mysteriously appears in his apartment.

As Frank becomes more immersed in the game, it becomes harder for him to distinguish between fantasy and reality. In order to save himself from spiraling further into darkness and from reaching the bottom of the dark spiral he's caught in, Frank must confront his deepest fears and battle his way through twisted and horrific environments created by his own mind.

This VR action horror game, set in a parallel ‘90s, invites players to fight malevolent monsters, solve peculiar puzzles, and explore Frank's troubled psyche.

Inspired by games and movies from the era of CRT TVs, MS-DOS, and big box PC games, LIMINAL PHASE is a haunting and immersive experience for fans of horror.

its more of puzzle and slow burn horror than shooting action. makes you want more. adjust your view in your native software before you do the first one ingame.

The demo for this game is basically the first 3rd of the game. It's interesting enough to wonder where the game will go from this point. After playing the full game, I can say it just repeats the same loop 2 more times. It really doesn't expand on the initial idea, the final reveal/symbolism isn't exactly subtle, and all of its best ideas are in the first 3rd of the game. As an experience, it's somewhat enjoyable. As a game, it's really primitive and sometimes annoying. As a story, it's extremely thin and pretentious
it's about depression and video games
. As a whole, it's very disappointing. What's that painting for? Don't know. What's that Frankenstein's monster in the inner-game world? Don't know. What's that static figure? Don't know. What's that shadow figure? Don't know. Almost all of the things it introduces are just decorative and filler. It's icing on a cake, but there's no cake.

Great atmosphere, deliciously surreal and full of surprises. A hidden VR gem with a lot of personality.

Played the demo and immediately wanted to get the full game to get more. I love the mix of scp based horror and morbid humor. The game feeling really immersive with all the interact-able items and good use of VR controls

One of the more interesting types of VR games, altho a bit spooky for me

From the images on the store page this game looked to be quite interesting but unfortunately it didn't click for me. I was mostly bored and my favourite part was episode 3 almost purely for the visual style. The worst part being the 2D mini-game you play which is just really basic, slow and not exactly the gameplay I want to do in VR. I was hoping for a little more horror to it but aside from an enemy that kills you if you look at it for too long there's not much else. The ending for the game was actually nice, really like what they did with it. It's a shame I didn't gel with this game but with it being so cheap I find it hard to give it a negative review. There's value here for sure, just not for me.
