About Listen
Listen is a first-person shooter where the goal is to destroy all enemy units. Navigate the map with limited sound prompts and power-ups to find and destroy enemy units while battling them without being destroyed by them. Or play a 1v1 blind typing battle with friends, find each other's location in the map, and hide your location.
Playing Listen tests listening and patience, calmly facing the game, and then facing life calmly.
The important thing is said three times: there is no interface! No interface! No interface!

What Steam players say
Recent verbatim reviews from Steam — separate from playze.io community reviews below.
Players praise the innovative concept of creating a game accessible to blind players, but criticize the execution severely, citing a complete lack of in-game UI and unclear gameplay mechanics that make it nearly unplayable even with the minimal manual provided. The audio feedback systems are confusing and poorly explained, leaving players uncertain about what various sounds and commands actually do or why they should use them. While the accessibility ambition is commendable, the game needs substantial work in tutorial design and mechanical clarity before it can deliver on its promising premise
Great idea, badly executed. The game is basically unplayable given there isn't a UI in-game, not even an audio tutorial. Manual is too simple, enough to use the game but not enough for playing it. If the game is at a point even blind people can play this could be a great game, but surely not for now.9 found this helpful
So the challenge, can a blind person play this? If I know what this is I may be able to tell you better. Here is a description of a playthrough: Press S then 1 to start a single player game. From the achievements available I guess there are 3 levels. Controls WASD do the moving. Left click for the shooting. Drop some sort of beacon with G, it is the only thing thus far that I can suss directional sound that gets louder the closer you are to it. For what purpose? Your guess is as good as mine. Press 1 for a beepy noise that will stop sometimes ond become a high pitch screech at others. For what purpose? No idea. Press 2 for a sonar noise that does seemingly nothing. the noise has not changed in any way whilst in use. Press 3 to make a random scratchy noise, again serving no apparent use that I have found as yet. Okay so wander around until I happen into a whiney noise. If I stand still the whiney noise gets louder until eventually a cockerel crows and I am dumped back to the menu. Guess you need to avoid the whiney noise. Try again, see if beepy/screechy noise is helping you pinpoint the hen firer. Maybe but no matter how much I shoot when it becomes screechy I cannot dehen the thin…6 found this helpful
