HEADPHONES ARE COMPULSORY!
AUDIO GAME FULLY ACCESSIBLE TO BLIND AND VISUALLY IMPAIRED PEOPLE
Your eyes will be of no help.
So close them, sharpen your hearing and your blade...
And embark on an epic, perilous rite of passage.
Live the adventures of Edward Blake, the famous blind knight! Guided by your daughter Louise, you must find your way and avoid the many traps that lie in the High Castle Kingdom, while confronting dangerous enemies!
This serious game is fully accessible to visually impaired people, and is aimed at anyone who’s eager for an original, immersive sensory experience through a ground-breaking video game. And because the player is the character, it will help raise public awareness of this kind of disability.
This hack-and-slash game, with a heroic-fantasy flavour, harnesses the innovative technology of binaural sound, which delivers a gripping 3D soundscape and brings characters and actions vividly to life around the player – as if they were actually in the game!
A Blind Legend was co-created thanks to support from a community of fans who helped with the crowdfunding campaign (www.ulule.com/a-blind-legend) and in a co-production with France Culture, a Radio France station.

I was diagnosed with very aggressive glaucoma over the last two years. I’m now completely blind in my left eye and have very little vision in my right. I’ve been a gamer since I was a kid, so it’s been tough realizing that many of the games I love aren’t as easy for me to play anymore. That’s why a game like A Blind Legend is amazing. I highly recommend it to anyone who is blind or visually impaired—and even if you’re not, it’s still absolutely worth playing. You won’t regret it.2 found this helpful
Absolutely wild. There's no graphics, only sound. The screen is always fully black. Yet somehow, you are still engaged in the game. This gives you insights on how games work. Even if you're not into gaming, you could play it just for the sake of an unusual and unique experience.1 found this helpful

Sight yields to sound's guide Echoes carve a path through dark Legends hear the truth
The novelty of a game without video is, I think, enough to justify the purchase, and the sound- and game design choices that are made here are definitely interesting enough to be worth studying for those interested. The idea that "limitations breed creativity" applies wholly here, but I don't think the game fully holds up as good entertainment for the average (not blind) player.
games in mono. my speakers got forced to run mono, and i hear everything equally in my headset. not a single audio que is working and idk what to do because my subwoofer setup is always surround sound
