This is a selection of minigames for the visually impaired/blind. Now, I'm the first to say gaming is a visual medium, and I'll very quickly find games impossible to recommend if they don't look awesome. But here, it's important to make an exception to that rule, because while this game has pretty much NO visuals, that's the point... it's made for the visually impaired, and takes place in audio only. So, while it's crucial for a game to look amazing, it's just as important when games are made to be accessible. Video games are great! And everyone, and I mean everyone should have a chance to enjoy them. So if you know someone who is visually impaired, definitely recommend this to them.3 found this helpful
If you are looking for auditory only minigames to practice using your ears, or are looking for an blind accessibility game on steam this is the game for you
Strengths
-The concept is really intriguing and pretty unique, you are playing a video game by not receiving input from a screen but by using auditory signals on what to do. This is a really unique concept that I have not seen in hardly any other video game (although there might be something like it). It really uses your creativity to imaging what is going on rather than just getting to see what is happening using your eyes -This game is perfect for the blind. -It’s free, there is nothing that you have to pay to play this auditory game so it is worth giving a try -Control rebind. It has accessibility by allowing you to rebind your controls -Variety of minigames to choose from. They really vary in both theme and in the basic functionality of how to operate in the world. There are three currently and they are working on a fourth -In-game sounds are immersive the sounds in the mini-games immerse the player into this world that really feels real. Inspirational after clearing several rounds of zombies i have now become the defacto leader of this new world.
Fun audio only game, this game tests how good your directional hearing is especially in the zombie mode. The other modes are fun like not enough chefs where you make burgers and salads, or the ninja one where you just hit ninjas on either side of you. overall pretty simple game definitely worth checking if you have any interest especially since it's free! The only minor bug I ran into was occasionally it wouldn't start the game mode after you selected it but just reloading the game mode fixes it.
Very good, but a bit sad that it's no longer in development. Would love to see a full release.
It's a pretty bad game. Most of those mini-games are very simplistic and uninteresting. The ninja knockout mini-game is panned super hard which made my ears bleed in headphones. You could have recorded the voice over for the menu and the rules screens. The speech synthesizer you used sounds pretty terrible for me, but maybe it's because the language of my OS is Polish, and it detects that and tries to speak English with Polish pronunciation. It says everything in English with terrible pronunciation, except the numbers. It translates the numbers to Polish.
