About Little Library

You have arrived in the quiet village of Maplewood with one goal: bring a brand-new library to life and help a struggling community find its footing again. Funding is limited and every decision matters. To keep the doors open, you will manage resources, grow the collection, and host events that draw the villagers together.Life in Maplewood extends far beyond the library itself. You can tend a small farm, fish in local waters, explore the Whispering Woods, take part in community projects, and build meaningful relationships with the people who call this place home. From aspiring writers to seasoned travelers, every villager contributes to Maplewood’s revival. As you uncover pieces of the village’s forgotten past, you will shape the future that follows. The Folk Festival is approaching. Can you turn the library into the heart of the community before it arrives?Features:• Build and manage the library, growing it from a modest collection into a thriving community hub. • Expand your shelves with more than 70 books, including rare and collectible titles that boost the library’s reputation. • Tend a small farm to earn extra income, trade with villagers, and settle into rural life. • Fish in ponds and lakes to gather resources, complete requests, and support your library work. • Explore the Whispering Woods and discover the secrets hidden on the village outskirts. • Uncover Maplewood’s history by expanding the Local History section and piecing together the past. • Connect with the villagers, build friendships, and pursue romance as you become part of the community. • Host book clubs and other events that bring the town together and strengthen the library’s role. • Replay the story for new outcomes, with choices that influence relationships and the village’s future. Can you build a library that endures and rekindle the spirit of Maplewood?

I really love the idea of the game, but in it's current state I can't recommend it. The primary purpose of the game is to help the town increase their reputation by running the library on a daily basis, including reshelving books, paying bills, cleaning, ordering new books and, my favorite and the challenge in the game, recommending books to members of the town. It includes other mechanics like fishing (I'm not sure what I can do with the fish once caught), and farming (I guess to make some extra money), but it's mostly walking around town talking to people and then opening the library and running it, using extra energy at night to fish. However, the main mechanics of running the library don't function properly, causing you to constantly lose reputation. Here are the bugs I ran through in just over an hour of play: 1. Individuals visiting the library will just stand in front of the shelves indefinitely, preventing you from reaching the shelves to clean. Due to this, you can't do any other tasks of the library, forcing you to close it and lose rep. 2. On the time I successfully cleaned all the shelves, (all shelves showed their categories), it didn't register it and got s…

I'm kinda on the fence, but I will say Recommend, with the caveat that this is a very repetitive and chill game. If that's your jam, then go nuts homie. If you were hoping for a more in depth game, then eh maybe do not go nuts. The Basics: Gameplay loop is very short and samey. Wake up, maybe go fishing, sell your fish, chat up some locals, water your crops (if any), open library, rec 3 books to your customers, clean, put up returned books (if any), close library, fish, sell, water, etc. You get the picture. You get reputation by giving correct genre recommendations to your customers. You build relationships by listening to the locals say the same thing like every day. You get money by catching/selling fish, growing/selling produce and from daily donations to your library. You spend money on more books (and allegedly bills but I haven't actually had one yet). Nice: Interesting book selection. Chill gameplay. Nostalgic graphics. Clicking on a square moves you there much faster than WASD, which is only nice because otherwise you are slow. I do like the reshelving returned books mechanic, but I actually work in a bookstore so maybe it's not that exciting for anyone else lol. Fishi…

I really like this library mechanic idea for the cozy game! It's repetitive but really simple game that you manage the library in a small town with different NPC to gain the relationships too with the folks. Also it using 16-bit pixel art game that makes this games looks really cute.

As a fan of cozy games, I really loved the atmosphere of the game and the relaxing feeling it creates. I got attached to Emma and will play more to understand more about her story, it looks like she is hiding something haha. Please do not make her a bad persooon!!!! she reminds me of Robin from Stardew Valley. Would we be able to marry characters in the future? I need to say that the game still has some rough edges, especially with UI quality and the amount of dialogue in the beginning, but I cna understand that the devs want to give different personalities to each characters and I can see it in the conversaitons!!! I really want to see more about this game and cant wait to see the next updates
