As someone who has adored both Golden Idol games, The Roottrees Are Dead, and Confidential Killings, I knew I would enjoy another game with the "deduction fill-in-the-blank" mechanic. What I was not expecting was how adorable and happy this game is! It has none of the darkness of Confidential Killings, the sordid nature of Roottrees, or the insanity of Golden Idol - instead of solving murders and exposing affairs, we get to help Mary through her first year of college. Between the characters, art style, and extremely relatable story (my chat and I were reminiscing on our own college days), Little Problems puts ordinary mysteries at the forefront of its puzzles. I cannot recommend it enough! I finished the game in about 4 hours while on stream, which means it can likely be finished in a bit less time.3 found this helpful
The game follows Mary and her friends/family during their first semester/year? at college. I'd recommend this to anyone who wants a short, easy cozy puzzle game with a cute art style. The story was cute. The game was very easy to 100%, especially with the help of the hint button. It was definitely sequel bated. The game play mechanics are point and click, and you are basically solving little scenarios filling out who, what, where, etc. Very similar to the Duck Detective series if you have played that. It was a little short for me for $10, but definitely grab if it goes on sale!1 found this helpful
The game story was boring and the puzzles were more brute force than actually deduction. Having to click back to "clues" constantly to fill in the same information over and over again with no reward on an engaging plot or carry over from prior cases made the game less interesting as it progressed. Cute concept, poor execution.
Really good, esp considering the price w sale.
Extremely cute little detective game that I just cant recommend enough. The way you solve things is a nice simple system that doesn't make things too easy or convoluted. You really feel like *you* solved whatever is asked of you, not just the character in the story (as is often the case in other detective games) The story is also very simple but extremely cute and I cant wait for the dlc/next game/update that was teased after the credits :D
A fun, simple point and click mystery game that is easy to pick up and put down. Everything can be solved with just a bit of observation and tying together leads you can find by just reading what is provided in-game.
