This remastered version of Ice Rose added what was needed for the original game. Based loosely on the tale of The Snow Queen, the story starts with Edward, who heads to Rosemount after finding a mysterious mirror shard; something is calling him to uncover the secret of the snow-covered city. You, as his wife, decided to look for your husband, who hasn't returned for a while. The moment you step into the village, the snow queen threatens you that if you don't leave, she'll cover the whole world in snow. The original was great as it is, but this version is better, especially after they added the voice-overs; it doesn't feel empty at all, and the fast-travel map reduced the backtracking, which was a big issue in the original game. Another great release from Big Fish. Its a 3 hour jaunt through an icy world of puzzles and hidden objects. Well, 3 hours for me because I used the hint system often. Without it, it would have taken much, much longer. I love these games because of the great amount of depth involved!

[h2]Gameplay[/h2] Very classic in the mechanics. The art was pretty good, the sound was okay for me. Maybe if you have played so many HOP and have nothing more to play then they should try this one. This was not a bad game but not that outstanding considering when the game was created I would think this was pretty good at that time. This is [I]Livings Legends[/I] #1, a classic hidden-object game brought up to modern standards. It's a straightforward expression of the genre with point-and-click adventuring, puzzle mini-games (easy to moderate difficulty), and of course hidden-object scenes. There are no groundbreaking mechanics, just solid gameplay. The story is not especially interesting but it serves the game well enough. The original version is available on Steam in the [I]Frozen Fear Collection[/I] and, if we're honest, this remastered version plays identically. If you've already completed the original then you don't really need to play this one, but I think it's a good enough game to warrant a replay, and so you might as well play this nicer version.
