Loco Shortline Operations

I really want to like this game; the physics are fun and bouncy but... MY GOD the 2 maps are gigantic empty wastelands of driving in a straight line for 10 minutes at a time. I mean, when you connect cargo, it just sits on the bed or even the back of a truck, and is affected by physics, and I LOVE that.. but laying track is literally spaghetti and rotating anything is so slow that dev even has a Shift key to move slower. I put Loco off for a few years to see what would develop, but I think the music is the only thing that's changed apart from some extra engines. There still no groundwork/ballast, the bridge laying tool is still straight lines, very few trees, track laying is incredibly short segments and it's just so boring. I REALLY want to enjoy Loco: Shortline but with Railroads Online having 4 maps now, Century of Steam around the corner, Derail Valley with aim towards realism and newcomer Infinite Rails with procedural land and light terrain manipulation in only version 0.02, Joe is getting left behind. - Add a smaller map to keep new players interested (and those who have many other games to pick from). - Have you added ballast yet? It's NEVER been worth the 17.99 i paid for it. holding out that it gets a meaningful update sometime soon, but at its current development rate, don't bother buying it. You're better off just playing Railroads online, or Railroader.

runs smooth and can be fun if u get far enough in game wish it was worked on more

Certainly not the most polished game nor the cleanest update schedule & graphics, but the game's solid enough for me. If it sees any future updates what would really help the game is more solid groundwork options to lay down than just bridges and also being able to place said bridges (excluding modular bridges) or groundwork at a curve should we want to.
