Se você estiver procurando por um jogo rápido, este é uma ótima aposta. Tem um enredo interessante, o jogo não é longo, mas te proporciona várias dificuldades, nas quais você pode se desafiar.4 found this helpful
Lonely in the Winter is a very short (~1 hour) RPG Maker game about a man named Robbery Cold looking for a magical crystal that can save his daughter's life. It is very goofy, and not particularly well-written (in English, at least - the author's native language is Portuguese, and it might be less typo-ridden in that language), but it's a fun short adventure. Upsides are that it's pretty funny, and the five difficulty modes plus the rank system at the end gives it some replay value if you're looking to speedrun it or otherwise challenge yourself. Also, while it uses a lot of default art, it also has full "CGs" based on that art for dramatic or silly scenes in the story. Downsides are that it's very short and you will constantly be too poor to afford much, including the basic healing potions. Thumbs up because it made me laugh out loud a few times, though one of those was due to a really funny bug rather than something intended to happen by the developer. This isn't a very strong recommendation, though, but mostly because the entire thing is only about an hour long.4 found this helpful
RPG Maker strikes again! Lonely in the Winter is one of hundreds of low effort retro-pixel RPG Maker asset/construction kit flips spamming the Steam catalog, made with the RPG Maker video game construction kit... in their own words, "Our easy to use tools are simple enough for a child." Like all RPG Maker "games", this is essentially a bunch of low quality/canned assets from RPG Maker coupled with a cringeworthy high school anime club fan fiction. This is a very badly made RPG Maker asset flip, but the "developer" (that filled out templates in RPG Maker) chose to asset flip the arctic assets in the game, and made a very short game with an arctic theme and the main character is called "Robbery Cold". Sorry, I should have put a cringe warning in front of that. So the best part about this asset flip is that it's short. Less garbage is better, right? Except, you know, there's a price tag on this garbage. As with all RPG Maker games, the poor quality engine displays badly in fullscreen and doesn't have full HD support or any graphics tweaking options, making this unacceptable for any dedicated modern PC gamer. The point can be made that the intention of RPG Maker is to make de…3 found this helpful
I don't play RPG maker games very often so I didn't know what to expect. To my surprise the game is actually very good. The story is ok I guess. I had some issues with softlock but luckily it wasn't too serious. The game is very short but very cheap. I had a lot of fun trying to reach Rank SS. This game is definitely a must play.2 found this helpful
Lonely in the Winter, developed by SoyeR and published by Araplay, is a retro-inspired turn-based RPG that centers on a deeply personal story wrapped in classic pixel-art presentation. Rather than telling a grand tale of empires and world-ending gods, the game narrows its focus to one man’s desperate struggle against fate. You play as Robbery “Rob” Cold, a former soldier whose life has been defined by loss. After his wife dies from a mysterious illness, his daughter begins to show the same symptoms, driving Rob to pursue rumors of a legendary crystal said to possess miraculous healing power. This emotional foundation gives the adventure a grounded and intimate tone that sets it apart from more bombastic fantasy epics. The narrative unfolds through exploration of snowy towns, hostile wilderness areas, and dungeon-like environments. While the plot remains straightforward, it is driven by Rob’s determination and the hope that somewhere in this cold world lies a cure. Dialogue with NPCs provides context, side stories, and occasional humor that softens the otherwise melancholic atmosphere. The storytelling style leans toward simplicity, allowing the emotional stakes to remain clear and…1 found this helpful
