About Long Rest

This is our very first commercial game. We’re just two developers who wanted to challenge ourselves not only to start a game, but to actually finish and publish one.Your time, feedback, and support truly mean a lot to us :)

Long Rest
is a fantasy run game built around a simple tension: your party pushes into a dungeon tier, chests keep appearing, and your heroes move to claim them.
But the curse deepens over time, dealing mounting damage until the tier ends in victory when the curse fully settles or in defeat if the party falls first.Between runs, return to camp to pick a dungeon tier (higher tiers trade tougher curse pressure for richer rewards), open the skill tree, and spend multiple currencies on chest-focused and global upgrades so the next expedition comes back stronger.

Great little incremental game. Like most games in the genre, I completed it in around three hours, so it's well worth the cost of entry. There are a couple of balancing issues, though. By the end, earning shards and gold to finish the skill tree becomes a bit of a grind, while token and holy chests are rendered obsolete long before the game is over. I also think the autoclicker could have been introduced a little earlier—it would've saved me from developing early-onset carpal tunnel syndrome...

Here is a problem with this game. It is a full idler game. Yes, you can open chest yourself, but it's not only tedious, but also it is already done by the characters. And that is full gameplay you will get, just looking at the screen during the run. Next problem is the skill tree. You are missing some good QoL features like showing which upgrades are available to be upgrades compared to the ones you can't afford. It takes time to check what you can buy vs what you can not and end up just trying to click instead of looking at the pop up to see the price. The pop up somehow feels bad too which I can not describe what it is about. This could be loading time, size, font. Something was off. Another small issue, you are messing with your game screen when entering menu. If you full screen the game, it will revert back to smaller version of it after a run. It's probably because you are returning back to your main game screen resetting everything and just leaving the progress behind the scenes. I would encourage to separate your main game screens and your gameplay screen (never return to game menu until users want to specifically and allow upgrades in the gameplay system). It's a good fi…

Fun little time waster game. Beat it in less than 3 hours though... and that was while Idle. Add some more to the game, and it could be a lot more fun. I still recommend - as it is pretty fun. Just be aware that there is no end game. These folks that are giving negative reviews.... How's your 2 person team developed game doing?

Zero gameplay as far as I played it. Slow and boring skill tree. Exits fullscreen each time you finish a level. No thanks.

Not bad, particularly for a first game. Could do with a bit of better level curve as you kinda stall out at level 11 for a good while, but otherwise fun enough with pretty decent graphics (relatively speaking) which are fun to watch. Priced appropriately for the play time, and I think if it was much longer it'd actually just get boring so well done. Easy recommend if you're looking for a short little idling incremental.
