About Love Alchemy: A Heart In Winter
When a new romance blossoms, the door to mystery opens in Love Alchemy: A Heart in Winter. Follow a young woman as she's drawn helplessly to a man she barely knows, and is then caught in the tightening web of intrigue surrounding her charming but mysterious lover.
As she explores his fairy tale castle, she marvels at his seemingly kind and romantic nature. But the more corners she turns, the more unsettled she becomes. Soon, she begins seeing ghosts, and noticing the eerie paintings of beautiful woman that adorn the walls. Then she's pulled into one of the canvases and transported to another place, where a terrifying snake has coiled its body around a helpless victim...
You must solve the mystery of the paintings and learn the truth about the woman's enigmatic lover. To do so, you'll have to search for hidden objects, solve puzzles, and win mini-games, even as the game romances you with its astonishing beauty. From opulent castle halls, to creepy dungeons, to exotic faraway lands, you'll want to stop and soak in the visual splendor. But you won't because each discovery will lure closer to an ending you won't expect.
If you enjoy adventures that hold your heart in their grip like a budding romance, then play Love Alchemy. As the door to mystery opens, you'll be helpless against it.

Okay, okay... This game doesn't have really good reviews, but I... I LIKED IT! Screw the sometimes strange item names, the design of the castle/characters were pretty damn cool! The H.O.G scenes look fun and not overly clattered too. *Phew*. There is no map too, but I didn't get lost! So happy! Well... I was just going to... You know... Passively play this game... Then ended up beating it in one sitting, YES IT IS SHORT. BUT THE STORY! The going into paintings!!! YES! For some reason I liked that and poor everyone... Until the good ending... Still sucks though. AND UH... Good. For me. Good, good. Me likey. Let's keep going. Thanks!!! :3 =) :91 found this helpful
kinda meh. so far I have found some of the hidden object labels have odd descriptions for an item, or one that was in another language. when using some items, sometimes not registering when you would think it should be no voice acting story is not my thing.
Such a wonderful game, a little on the easy side but still it was really fun!
A pretty simple and small HIO. The story is ok and the overall gameplay a nit repetetive. Still fun for 1-2 hours. It has very few puzzles and there are 2 little translation errors in the HOS. I would rather recommend buying it on sale. I can recommend it

TL;DR at the end :) My thoughts: [list] [*]The game is about 2 to 2 1/2 hours long. [*]The puzzles are incredibly easy to the point a child may even speed through them [*]The music gets very repetitive and annoying at points (I had to mute the music to be able to pay attention) [*]Hidden object moments are very few and far between. This is the point of the game after all, at least it should have a decent amount of them. [*]Items received only have one use. I understand that for "game play" purposes this seems like a good idea, but its more of a lazy tactic to be able to incorporate more "spots" to find the same item you just used 5 minutes ago. Most games do this with certain unique items but lets say a hammer for example should at least have 2 uses, in my opinion. [*]Animations are almost non existent. For the date the game was released, there were plenty of the same k…
In my opinion, every developer (or publisher) of games like these knows that they're basically evergreens. This was released in 2013 on steam (and is probably older) and, graphics aside, it is still fun to play these days. However, as a dev/pub being fully aware of this, I cannot by the life of me understand why there is no voice over at least for the story parts. Seriously, this (the voice overs) could've been done by an intern and the game would be so much better. Another point I have to criticise is the difficulty of the riddles and puzzles. Most of them are trivial and the others are only slightly more challenging because of a decision to artificially limit choices or link together parts of rotating stuff. But maybe that's just me :) There is one puzzle, however, that is a bit a pain in the rear and if you decide to "get a hint" the game freezes. Sadly, I don't remember which one it was. It seems the original game used another language (possibly Russian?) because in some of those "find something" pictures the stuff you have to find is not translated and uses different letters. tl;dr: All things aside, you'll have a fairly acceptable experience for a hidden object game. Howe…
