Now, this is a story all about how My life got flipped-turned upside down, And I'd like to take a minute, just sit right there, I'll tell you how I got trapped in a god's nightmare.
What a ride. Pretty unique experience - loved all parts of it. That said, it does need to be said - the platforming part can be quite challenging, so it might not be suitable for everyone. It's challenging, but very satisfying - and it keeps things "one screen", so you won't get some massively long checkpoints. Although some screens will test your endurance and precision ;) The momentum mechanic is pretty simple - but it does require your full attention and precision.
I finished it and came out dissappinted. This could have been horror Celeste, but instead it misses the landing in both respects. It's not worth the frustration. At first I was pretty into it. But the inertia aspects not only overstay their welcome but it's the kind of thing you can't perfectly predict and it feels a little bit luck basedm And that would all be worth it if the story had any payoff. So much of it seems obscure and convoluted (like the game being in 4:3 for no reason just to have moments in 16:9 to be "artsy"). In the end though, I either understood the story and it all feels pretty "meh" and "that's it?" or the developer couldn't figure out the difference between profound and unnecessarily esoteric.
you have likely never played a game like this, and i mean that in the best way possible. you should go in blind. this game is something really special
Meta horror game, never thought I would see that. Definite play if you can get it.
this game made me want to become a game developer. some games are truly pieces of art in themselves and this is one of them. did i have the platforming skills to finish it? no. but im not a platformer fan. and yet this is one of my all time favourite games
