ENG: Love of Magic Book 2: The War, second part of Droid Productions' trilogy, picks up the narrative where we left off, with Chloe informing Owen (name of player's choice), upon waking up after the New Year's Eve celebrations, that the End of the World has arrived, that Mexico City is reduced to a pile of rubble and that the Outsiders appear to have made their move after being summoned by Sarah. Now our hero and his wife Emily, who is carrying their daughter Elanora, must quickly gather the Knights of the Lake and all the help they can get to form a Grand Alliance to withstand the invasion and, as King and Queen of Camelot, prepare for war against the Necromancers of the Cult, the Demons of the Malgraleth Sept of the Olmodan Clan from the Deep Elsewhere and the Others. Stylistically perfectly in line with the previous installment, this is also a more a RPG rather than a sandbox-style visual novel, with a strong emphasis on narrative and role-playing rather than erotic content, even though the story remains largely linear, except for the side quests. My favourite H-game series ever. 11/10 recommend it.
Wow. Love of Magic II (LoM2) starts out as a kingdom builder inside a virtual novel as you build up your character from LoM1. One technical gripe I have is the game always opens BEHIND Steam, meaning I have to minimize both and bring them up in reverse order so the game is in front of Steam. I almost thought the game wasn't starting up at first. Anyway, LoM2 puts you into the War against the "Outsiders" which are similar to the Old Ones from Cthulu mythos. You get to know and care about the characters you meet, leading to some emotional moments at the end of Book 2. I recommend this series and look forward to the conclusion in LoM 3.
Book 2 ended on a very emotional note. Again I'm amazed at the qquelity of the wriing and will be stating book 3 right after i post this comment :) If you love fantasy, magic, quirky situations, quotes from classics, good storytelling and a bit of drama, this is for you:)
Just played this for the second time, NG+ this time. Be prepared to really grow attached to the characters, they are the best part of this trilogy and this trilogy is very very good.
Great! I really wouldn't change anything and it's easily one of my favorite series!
