What is Luciform?
Luciform is a 2D color-based precision platformer.
This basically means that in this game you can ONLY interact with the same colored platform as yours and that you will fail MANY times trying to beat the next level.
Traverse the world while avoiding hazards and deadly falls, Timing jumps with the utmost precision is a must!
*Those who’ve mastered Super Meat Boy and Celeste will find themselves right at home.

Players praise Luciform as a challenging, fun, and addictive puzzle game with good music and a calming aesthetic that works well with controller support. However, the tutorial lacks clarity on controller functionality, the level select menu has navigation issues that force players back to keyboard and mouse, and the overall interface feels better suited for mobile than for Steam Big Picture mode.
I am giving this game a Positive pass as it does show potential. Luciform does have a large mobile feel/aesthetic. I played this game with a wireless Xbox One controller. The tutorial had missing chunks of information, the most it recognized of the controller is the RB and LB buttons, but did not translate what buttons change your character's color. I was able to make it to level 9 without getting stuck and unable to understand how to move further. I am choking that up against myself and not the game. Level select, gets stuck if you navigate away from levels you have unlocked. Meaning you would have to use your keyboard and mouse to navigate back so you can use your controller again. Doesn’t seem Steam Big Picture friendly with some of the controls and UI. My other thought is while it's nice to slam through levels that the character starts moving right away... would be nice to have the character move when you press right. Like right away on spawn, it just sits there until you first move, after moving you keep moving until level end or death/reset. Simple, nice, challenging, calming and fun game. Also cute and very well done. Perfect to play with controller and also on keyboard cos you can custom the keys the way you want. Love it this game :D
its puzzling and challenging but over all good. 10/10
Got it to try it out & I'd recommend it, I enjoyed the challenge to it & the different aspects of the game overall. Was great fun for sure, planning to play it again soon :)

Honestly, it was such a rage inducing game, BUT it has been well worth the time. This gamer works both your reflexes and mind in a way that you honestly wouldn't expect. The challenge was clear, and lots of fun. I can't wait to dive back in.
