Game isn't half bad. You need to understand it's MumboJumbo, which means it was either a web game or one of those games you'd see in a jewelbox with a paper sleeve, probably in a spinning rack like were once used to sell paperbacks or comics at the drugstore. They probably sold this game at the drugstore too. A few points to consider. - Let's get this out of the way. If beetles creep you out, you're gonna have a bad time. - As I write this, the demo is broken. The full version works fine, but it does break when I alt tab out of fullscreen. - Someone mentioned having difficulty remembering the powerup tiles. Lightning destroys tiles, the circular arrows makes tiles trade places, eye of horus reveals matches. The one that might be hard to remember is shaped like two knives and it changes a group of tiles. Instructions for these can be viewed at any time. - For my money it's not that rough on the eyes, and at no point should the low resolution interfere with gameplay. Look at the store screenshots in fullscreen. The game looks exactly like that on my belov…

From the moment you begin, it becomes clear that the experience is designed to be welcoming and low-pressure, offering a steady rhythm that encourages careful observation, planning, and patience rather than quick reflexes or time-based challenges. At its core, Luxor Mahjong remains faithful to the traditional rules of mahjong solitaire. Players remove pairs of matching tiles from layered arrangements, with the limitation that only free tiles—those not blocked on either side or from above—can be selected. This simple ruleset forms the foundation for a surprisingly deep and satisfying puzzle experience, especially as layouts become more complex. The game frames its progression through a light adventure structure, presenting your journey as a quest to recover lost treasures …
