M.I.A.: Mission in Asia

This has to be one of the blandest, least fun slavjank games out there. The voice acting is some of the worst in the gaming industry. (im not joking) The shooting is stiff, slow and unsatisfying. The graphics didnt improve from the dev's ubersolider 1 in 2005. The story starts out with some interest but the delivery is just awful and boring. Dont get this. You have other options.

A messy action romp with little context and a terse script, this game is not worth buying unless as part of the "Ultimate Slavjank Collection" by Strategy First. Put short, it is a fleeting yet surprisingly dull experience that won't leave you feeling satisfied nor dissatisfied, but rather something much more contemptible — apathetic. One's playthrough is so bland that it cannot really inspire any feelings beyond boredom. The gameplay is so cookie cutter and repetitive that the choppy and bizzare story beats are not able to be shrugged off under the usual motto of "Well, at least the shooting's fun". Levels are detailed and interesting enough to distract from the fact that the game's levels are just long, singular corridors without any meaningful features beyond bits of cover. On the audio side, sound mixing is all over the place and the English voice acting is hilariously bad and often hard to hear, meaning you might miss the half-baked plot points. MIA: Mission in Asia is a compact military first-person shooter that reflects an older era of PC gaming, when smaller studios regularly produced straightforward action campaigns without relying on enormous maps, progression systems, or multiplayer-driven content. Developed by Burut Creative Team and published by Game Factory Interactive and Strategy First, the game focuses on a combination of military combat and espionage, delivering a relatively simple experience built around completing objectives and surviving frequent firefights. The campaign revolves around political instability and intelligence operations involving the fictional territories of Primoria and Slavia. Russia's Federal Security Service discovers evidence suggesting that one of its operatives has switched allegiance and begun working for Primorian intelligence. Oh boy, where do I start? I thought this would at least be decent, considering the Ubersoldier games were pretty fun, but I genuinely cannot recall the last time I was this wrong. The devs took Ubersoldier and removed literally EVERYTHING that made Ubersoldier fun. Without the superpowers, and now with regenerating health (which actually might be a good thing considering how awfully the game plays), basically leaves us with a generic modern military FPS we´ve played a thousand times before, only with a confusing story, extremely limited weapon roster, laughable voice acting, and visual glitches all over the place. The game is also extremely linear, in some cases using kill barriers, in others regular invisible walls. The hit detection is terrible, the enemy AI is one step away from being completely braindead, and the grenade spam is so bad that for a second, I thought I was playing World at War, only then I remembered there´s no piss-filter, no war crime every 5 seconds, and the game is terrible so it obviously can´t be World at War. The game has about 5 missions, but they drag on, and on, and on, doing the same thing over, and over, and over, which is get from point A to point…
