About Maid For My Master

Set a stone's throw into the future, Maid For My Master is a cute romance story between an unlikely pair.
Asahi is a young man who was born and raised in the countryside. He moves to Tokyo, hoping to make a new life for himself, but he soon discovers that the big city isn't all it's cracked up to be. Asahi doesn't have much in the way of money, and he has to scrimp and save while working a low-paying job at a convenience store.
Asahi's co-worker, Nazuna, is unfailingly cold and rude, and as chilly winter sets in, Asahi begins to wonder whether he made a mistake in leaving home...
At least, until he meets the mysterious maid, Holly, and feelings between them begin to blossom.
Holly is Asahi's dream girl. She's kind, gentle, and affectionate (even if she is slightly taller than he is), but there's a catch. Holly isn't a human at all: she's a robot! Can Asahi's relationship with Holly flourish, or is it doomed to a critical failure?

Note: A free adult patch is available although I chose to play the more censored version.
Can love blossom between a human and a robot? XD

Introduction
Maid For My Master is a kinetic, romance visual novel developed and published by ebi-hime. You take on the role of Asahi, a young man in his early 20's who's working part time at a convenience store in Tokyo. Asahi barely makes enough to get on by, and he has to deal with a surly co-worker and the difficult conditions of living in a big city, as he had only known life in the countryside. As Asahi is walking back to his apartment after his work shift, he meets Holly, who's handing out fliers for a cafe where she works. However, here's the catch. Holly is a robot maid that's programmed to serve humans. Still, she's quite unique in that she behaves in ways that end up getting her fired from the cafe. Feeling guilty that Asahi was the cause, he insists that Holly stay with him, and she agrees. Thus, their relationship begins, going from friends to eventually a couple. Of course, certain obstacles are presented before them but nothing that they can't overcome together. ^^ As for the gameplay, …

I don't play a lot of visual novels, so my feedback below could just be my preference. I have also seen Chobits, and the music reminded me of that. -Main character talks to himself too much at the beginning, too much inner monologue. (Boring) -Main character talks about events, but doesn't show them happening. However most or all the events are not very interesting. I came here for robot girls, not reading about the job or customers. -Story pace is too slow. (Boring) -Sentences sometimes don't feel fluid to read, and too many sentences. -There is little to no imagery that changes during dialogue, at least at the beginning (no expression changes, no sprite movement, no SFX, etc) It is just reading text and the same music. -The story doesn't show the robot girl until later. I came here for robot girls. -"She scowls" shouldn't be in the text, because the face expression is already on the sprite. If something happens in the visuals, you do not need to add text about it. -Had a hard time going through it due to slow pacing, not much happening, boring dialogue, cute robot girl no where in sight, -Art quality is good, UI art is good. -The main character's inner monologue describing othe…

This pulls on all my emotions, in only the first few minutes! Working a register with the public, seeing Japanese culture in technology and vending machines, icy cold night air, warm food, talking to robots, both loving and hating long interactions with people... ebi-hime is a great writer!
