challenging little platformer. not too hard, not too easy. perfectly balanced. had a ton of fun
simulations going rogue where i heard that before decent metriodvania with some interesting mechanics where its like controling 2 characters at once good luck getting the collectables its nice
Great short little platformer.
You can tell the devs had a lot of fun making this game. MainFrames is a lovely little platformer with a fun mechanical gimmick every level. Likely taking some inspiration from Celeste, this game scratched a platforming itch for me that was fun throughout my playtime. The sprite work and colors are so good, and the gameplay speaks for itself. The new mechanics in each level don't overstay their welcome, and give some good variety, never feeling stale or repetitive. :) The only complaint I would raise is that it is far too short! I got a heavy feeling that the devs rushed the final couple of levels, and could have pumped more content and puzzles into these last levels if given time. That being said, this game is perfect for a complete playthrough in 1-2 evenings. While I wouldn't recommend this game for its story, the story present is simple and cute, especially during the conclusion, and the completion grind felt pretty satisfying... 10/10
The movement feels a bit off, the gimmicks feel a bit off, the level design feels a bit off, the entire gameplay feels a bit off to me, the animations take too long. Cool graphics don't make it up for the gameplay for me.
This game is GORGEOUS and omg so fun! It's like 90's baby eye candy for people who played and loved Celeste. The challenge is varied and interesting. As optional and rewarding as Celeste. I am OBSESSED with all the little guys there are to collect in each area and how they get added to your screen when you interact with them!?!?!?.....Why don't more games do this!? They are so cute!! This game is incredible. 10/10
