About Maitetsu
After hearing that an industrial factory is to possibly be built along a landmark river in his hometown of Ohitoyo, Migita Sotetsu returns home to change the minds of those in charge of the factory proposal. Although half of the town's citizens support the building of such a mill, the other half fear the potential for pollution and contamination of their beloved river. Recognizing Ohitoyo's budgetary decline over the last few decades, Sotetsu believes that the town requires a system that allows it to be fiscally independent instead of reliant upon a factory to stimulate its economy, and sets out to identify an alternative method in achieving this goal. It's during this time that Sotetsu comes across an android-like being--a "Raillord" named Hachiroku--while looking through his late adoptive father's belongings. Although inanimate, Hachiroku and Sotetsu forge a deep, unlikely connection, and from this bond, work together in hopes of restoring Ohitoyo to its former glory.

UOOH (T0T) the H-scenes in this game are incredible so download the patch or buy elsewhere if you want to experience peak cunny7 found this helpful
Very nice and wholesome game if you like cute and funny anime girls. Dialogue can be a bit of a slog to get through at times, but that's because It has lots of attention to detail, respects your intelligence, and has good writing and story telling. If you like trains then Maitetsu has many references to real events and trains and contains a lot of real and accurate information on them which I thought was very cool and authentic. Maitetsu has very nice characters that all get their own routes and have a lot of time to shine, oh and the music is wonderful too. One important thing to be aware of though is that the steam version is censored, so if you want the good stuff you'll need to go to other store fronts to purchase DLC separately, becuase you probably won't be able to find that for free. Depending on where you go, you could get an uncensored version with the DLC already included, so i'd recommend just getting the game from there instead. If you don't mind the extra hassle, it's not too hard to patch the steam version. Just make sure you already know where you're going to get the DLC and patches from if you plan on going that route before buying to spare your nerves! I used JAS…2 found this helpful
This is my first ever visual novel, and from a technical perspective, the game is quite impressive. I particularly like the fully animated sprites that goes beyond just characters standing there and blinking once in a while. If you notice very carefully, in some scenes, the characters would react by shifting their expressions slightly, and that is certainly the attention to details that I absolutely adore. The story was overall, OK, not anything too groundbreaking, and also not too offensively bad either. It is serviceable for conveying its message. I, however, cannot recommend buying this game on steam, if you want a fully featured, complete product, as a lot of features were cut from this version. If you are in just for the story, then I think that buying this on steam is perfectly fine, especially on sale. Overall, this game is an 8/10 for me, with Reina being the best girl of course.1 found this helpful
Came for the premise of cute anime train girls, stayed for the emotional debt, wide vibrant cast, and gorgeous art and music, plus a fair bit of train trivia; only 1 route completed so far but already heavily invested, 10/10 would recommend
The patch was taken down from Fakku even if you bought it they removed it from your library but it was brought to the JAST store in May.
Amazin, Now I can ride my own trains with all cute girls
