Mansion of the Dead

Mansion of the Dead is a low budget indie horror game where you explore a haunted house and surrounding grounds in order to solve the mystery of the house and escape. The game is mostly a walking simulator where you collect items and solve puzzles. There are also 2 sections of the game where you have some mild action, either shooting a few zombies or killing them with items found around the house. The whole game took just over an hour to complete. + The story is simple, easy to follow, and serviceable. It has a satisfying conclusion and does not veer off into obscurity or into realms that make no sense. (Like many of these games do) + Several of the puzzles are interesting. + There are 2-3 jump scares, one is really well done and almost gave me a heart attack. + The game is polished and plays well. + The game is cheap priced at $2.00. - The atmospheric music in the game is on loop and too loud, gets annoying quickly. - One item is too hard to find and should be placed elsewhere. TIp: Outside Look Up. - The whole game is an asset flip of a popular haunted house you can buy at an asset store, no real original flair from the developer in the graphics department. Simple…

The dev sent me a key to this beautiful game and it did NOT disappoint! It was phenomenal... the escape room style was actually pretty intriguing for the most part. It set up some pretty awesome scares! The sound made every step concerning whether you were going to be scared, terrified, or BOTH. Mansion of the Dead adds zombie to add to the ambiance and I definitely died a handful of times because I forgot I had an axe but everything was incredible. I recommend it for ANYONE who loves Horror Games!

It's an okay survival horror, the only problem I had was the melee combat isn’t very good. It’s pretty short, if the base concepts were expanded upon it would have been a lot better.

If I can bring peace to a spirit with a roll of toilet paper or a bar of soap then my job here is done!

Auch das Sounddesign trägt enorm zur Immersion bei: Jeder Schritt, jedes entfernte Stöhnen baut Spannung auf. Das Gameplay kombiniert Erkundung, Puzzle-Elemente und actionreiche Gefechte auf gelungene Weise. Besonders stark: Die Story entfaltet sich schrittweise über Dokumente, versteckte Hinweise und überraschende Wendungen, was die Motivation hoch hält, immer tiefer in das Herrenhaus vorzudringen. Insgesamt ist Herrenhaus der Toten ein atmosphärisches Horror-Abenteuer, das Fans von düsteren Geschichten und Survival-Horror gleichermaßen begeistert. Ein echter Geheimtipp .
