Marvel's Avengers - The Definitive Edition

Looking back to this after wolverine, this was better XD

I can't believe this game was abandoned. More fun then Helldivers 2

Not that bad of a game until I decided to grind out of those 50 Hive missions for an achievement. I'll probably never touch this again at this rate but for running through the story I'd say that it'd be worth it. Missions are insanely repetitive no matter what you're going for, but that seems to be what happens for these types of games. I'd say I had more fun with this than with something like Suicide Squad though and it would've been cool if PC users could have had Spider-Man too. I really liked playing Kate Bishop or anyone that could do really well with just spamming a really strong ranged attack over and over again because it made the grind less of a hassle. Not even sure how easy it'd be to get a copy of the game anymore but if it's cheap enough then go ahead and it might give a few hours of fun if you're into this kind of thing but don't expect to find fun in the long run.

Avengers: At Least It Isn't Wolverine, I Guess? People who don't play video games greenlit this mediocre waste of resources. It's full of expensive-looking cutscenes and set pieces that belong in a movie, but the cutscenes themselves are so dull, you end up spamming spacebar to skip them. A thousand small issues--hand-holdy design, corridor gameplay, hold up, spam attacks, repeat. Cover your ears while the cutscenes play. Still, I like it alright. Some really high production values and fun enough turn-your-brain-off button mashy gameplay. Nice of Crystal Dynamics, too, to port the live service game to be playable locally. The Black Panther DLC is pretty solid. Unless I'm reading Wikipedia wrong, which is possible, this game cost less than Wolverine to make and outsold Wolverine, but Wolverine is "selling well" and defying expectations, yet Avengers was a humiliating dumpster fire of a commercial flop. (?) *Shrug* I don't understand how big budget games are evaluated. I just know I've played a lot better games than this one, and I've also played a good number that are much worse.
