Roam a lush open world as any animal alongside other players, using emotes and senses to explore, hunt, and socialize in this peaceful multiplayer sandbox. The more Shelter games you own, the more animals and cosmetics you unlock, creating a rewarding experience for series fans and newcomers alike.
About Meadow:
Unlike traditional titles from the Shelter game series, in Meadow – A Shelter Game, the more time spent embracing the gameplay features in the world, the more you receive. Owning any previous Shelter related title(s) or products will also unlock in-game content. The open landscape also provides ample room for exploration. Band together with other animals, form alliances or choose to explore the world alone. Whatever you decide, the open world is one you will want to immerse yourself in.Main features:
- Play as any combination of animals on land, water or air in the largest expanse of land ever created for a Shelter game.
- Communicate with other animals via specially created emotes, symbols and sounds.
- Use your senses to discover, track and band together with other animals or choose to discover the world alone.
- Visit the den to choose from up to 9 different animals. Modify your chosen animal with over 60 skins to create the animal you want to be.
- Explore over 90 expressions and symbols to unlock.
- New original music from Retro Family.
- The more Shelter titles and products you own, the more bonuses you unlock.
- Owning any Shelter game will unlock the ability to play as that animal in Meadow (e.g. owning Shelter 2 unlocks the lynx, etc.).
- Owning all games (no soundtracks or books included) will give you the possibility to play as the adorable bear cub from Paws – A Shelter Game.
- Gain unique sound abilities if you own any combination of soundtracks from the Shelter-games.
- Owning the interactive books from the Shelter-series will unlock unique 3-dimensional emotes.

Cute multiplayer game. A bit challenging at first, but it gets better. Hang out in groups or alone, and find gems, stones, berries, and flowers! Runs great on mac!2 found this helpful
So here's the thing. I started off in the game ready to give it a thumbs down. It's just so barebones. All you do is walk, jump, and collect things. But I thought hm... hold on.. let's see what it's like with company. So I looked on the minimap for the spot with all the player marks and ran in that direction. Sure enough, they were also running in MY direction! We met up, and it was animal noises and jumping and emotes all around, and I was like "Okay. I'll play a little longer." One hour later and let me tell you. This game is a VIBE. There is nothing to do but run, jump, emote, and collect things.... and y'know what? I had a blast, because that meant all of us only had one objective. Go collect things. No chat needed, no competition, no pve, no pvp, so no toxicity. You just hung out with a bunch of people that also wanted to just hang out. No chatter, just running around making animal noises and being silly. That all being said, I wouldn't say this game is worth $7. No way. It's DLC central, though I am glad there's no in-game microtransactions that I'm aware of. Personally, I'd recommend it go free to play and just make money off the DLCs. That would give the population a …1 found this helpful
Strange. My friend recommend me because there are "lots furry creatures in it" and yet I cannot find any furries here. Only bunch of weirdos on 4 legs, ewww. Guess its false advertising. I should refund it while I still can...1 found this helpful
