I really enjoyed this game when I first started playing it. The vibes, the music, the driving, all hitting that itch for me in a phenomenal way. Unfortunately, as I continued to play, the game felt like it was at odds with itself more and more. You can't truly appreciate the environment outside of the car cause the game heavily disincentivises you from walking. It does this by sending you into a snail's pace, having a time limit from being in the cold, and having a god awful camera that's constantly focused on your car. I really wanted to easily and freely explore and appreciate the work done in the cities and townships around the map up close but that was next to impossible. There's a "camera" mode that separates the camera and makes it "floaty", but makes it extremely hard to move around in and is kinda clunky. Now, you might say that's not much of a deal breaker, but when you have to trudge out of your car for every delivery and slowly thump your way into the storefront? It gets old pretty quick. I already knew it would be a bit repetitive since this is a "delivery game" which I was completely cool with. But going from blistering speeds in the car to slow as molasses over an…
If you like vibez and lofi music buy this game it combines driving and some elements of survival like your energy or fuel to your truck and makes it into a side job simulator. On the way you make some upgrades to your ride, some lore to keep you engaged and invested to progress. But overall maan this game just fits perfectly if you are alone at summer night feeling like you just wanna drive for no reason and just enjoy the winter with snowy roads I highly recommend!!! 8/10
eh
Fun cozy delivery job sim. Fun to traverse the snowy roads. Surprisingly funny when you catch air in the truck. Nice atmosphere. I really enjoy taking screenshots of the scenic driving.
My hours are about 7, but I am playing it janky style on my RP flip 2. Anyway, If I bought this game as a kid on ps1 or n64, it would likely be one of those games that sticks with you for the rest of your life and influence every piece of art you ever make. I love it. It is so well paced and full of mystery. I just love it so much and despite it crashing literally every day because of my jank setup, I keep coming back. Its so fun and full of intention. Once you get the snow tires, the fun AND the mystery amplifies. That is natural progression and it feels so good. Thanks Sam! - John
