MENOS: PSI-SHATTER

Who needs guns when you got cool telekinetic powers! Honestly I had so much fun playing with it that half the time I forgot I could shoot at the enemies! Playing this way certainly provided a challenge, and even with the shooting it was still difficult to get through some of the levels. But in a good way!

I saw Menos : Precusor in my Discovery Queue and I thought it looked kinda cool. I then realized it was the sequel to an already existing game so I decided to buy it since it was on sale. The game is pretty cool. I thought it would be something like Max Payne but top-down. It is not. It feels more like hotline Miami. A single bullet gets you killed. The gunplay is fine and the telekinesis mechanic is cool, although a bit clunky. You can beat the game in a single sitting while getting all of the achievements (or at least most of them) without trying. It's not a AAA game that will have you play for hundreds of hours, but for 2$ I didn't feel robbed. So, a short and sweet top-down shooter. I will definitively keep an eye on the sequel.

hotline miami on the gmod engine

Solid game, great minimalist graphics. Does suffer from some bugs and some lack of polish: enemies that are thrown around can have a wonky hitbox.

Definitely worth a few bucks! It's clearly a rough indie game, but it's an interesting premise as there's also kind of a puzzle aspect to it.
