It would be a great game to teach a child about video games.

A decent concept for a short game which could use some more polish. Pros: -A unique type of gameplay in which you control an entire squad of mice acting in unison, rather than a singular soldier. Ordering your mice to switch from a firing line to a turtle never got old. -An art style and theming that is highly reminiscent of Redwall, with some nice artwork. Cons: -A number of technical issues, including missing cutscenes and occasional crashes. -Various areas where the game could be refined. The enemy AI could wasn't great, choices don't seem to matter much, and they can't seem to remember and consistently spell the main character's name. -Gameplay can be a bit samey after awhile. -You don't get to fight the 3-eyed snake in the trailer, despite it being a major selling point of the game. Overall, it was an alright way to spend the evening, maybe a 6/10. I wish the game had been given more time to cook, but I got it for $0.90, so I think it was a fair value for money.

Very short, but fun game, I would definitely wait for a sale though.

I will say that it is a good game, but I can not recommend this at full price, simply because of how bare bones it feels. If you are going slow, you can probably finish this in about 2.5 hours,. But the story is GOOD, there are several tropes we come to expect, but it's a simple story of viking mice trying to figure out if they worship Greek Gods who will betray them, or Nordic Gods who will love them. Your actions DO have consequences in this, and you will need to set your mind a bit separate from modern 'common sense' to get the best results. But if you make the right choices, the final boss battle is a laughable cake walk. Not because of bad design, but because you are being rewarded for doing the 'right' thing. But is the right thing to betray the gods who have abandoned you? Or to try and buy their favor back? That's the whole point. Each level revolves around you making good use of your ability to swap between three formations, free, offense, and defense. To help out others, remember that if you are in offense mode (2) and need to turn around quickly, swap to defense (3), move in the direction you want to aim for a single click, then swap back to offsense (2). It whips you…

Short but both a fun and unique experience. The formation system was a lot of fun to use and all 3 stances felt useful in the right moments. I'll have to keep an eye on this developer and see what else they end up putting out. I regret getting it on such a heavy sale, would be nice to have supported the developer a bit more as I do want to see more games in the future.
