About Midnight Renegade
Midnight Renegade is a 2D Platformer. The story revolves around a young lady who seeks to bring justice to a corrupt task force. In order to do this, she must defeat the chief and his subordinates, by means of shooting, attacking, and dodging. Throughout the game, she'll need to manage 6 inventory slots and 4 equipment slots. Enemies drop bread crumbs, which can be consumed to regenerate life. Some enemies have the potential to drop equipment items, which are capable of producing set bonuses when all pieces to a set are collected. Currency, ammo, and restoratives are treated as items and thus take inventory space. She will find herself in ranged combat more often than not, and bullets have a limited carrying capacity, but they easily drop from defeated enemies and staggered bosses.

This game was a joy to play. I loved the detail and the art style and the extreme attention to detail. This Creator definitely has amazing potential and a new number one fan. i'd love to see more games in the future!!! i'd highly recommend this game!1 found this helpful

"Midnight Renegade" is one of literally thousands of retro 2D platformers infesting Steam and lowering the average quality of all video games everywhere... and I'm not kidding. Searching for "platformers" on the Steam store page yields over 17,000 results! Is this one of the best of those? Absolutely not. This is a particularly poorly made and generic feeling platformer shooter where you need to take out a corrupt bad guy cop... and this is of course done through some janky platforming, shooting, and the odd badly designed boss fight. In the modern era of high quality bleeding edge PC gaming, these kinds of flat, lazy, lackluster platformers just don't cut it. Platforming is a dead genre for a reason. Even though this is "free", it failed to attract any interest for gamers here on Steam Direct for obvious reasons. This features really godawful pixelcrap "art" instead of real graphics. It's hard to say if this was because the developer didn't have the skill to do the job of creating 3D visuals, or couldn't afford to hire someone who does, but it also doesn't matter.
