As a fan of Octavo's Midnight series, I was really disappointed by this game. Unlike Midnight Scenes: A Safe Place, which balanced its dark story with engaging gameplay and tasks, this entry relies heavily on long conversations and offers very little interaction. The story feels underdeveloped, the execution is weak, and the entire experience comes across as rushed. Overall, it lacks the atmosphere and quality that made the earlier games so enjoyable.1 found this helpful
Looks and sounds great, but there's nothing to do and I really wish these would have at least a little actual gameplay. The theme of this story is dealing with inevitable fate and it just doesn't feel convincing to [spoiler]claim there's nothing you can do and then not even let me try. Like, no wonder I end up dead, you wouldn't let me do anything about it, only let me watch things unfold.[/spoiler] Also can't agree with the overall message of [spoiler]accepting your fate peacefully etc., especially when it is injust. And it makes for a somewhat unsatisfying story, too.[/spoiler] I like this series, but this one didn't work for me. Didn't think it was spooky, either.1 found this helpful
Weak. This series began so promising. Very hit and miss series. Every other game seems good. Skip this one.

Midnight Scenes: Among Graves is another fantastic game by Octavi Navarro. The newest game in the Midnight Scenes series. It is again a wonderful pixelart game telling a new grizly story. I highly recommend getting this title, and the games are getting creepier.
