About Mini Tank Mayhem

The alien hordes have arrived, and only your mini-tank and your one-of-a-kind deck stand in their way. Mini Tank Mayhem is a unique blend of deckbuilding, tower defense, and roguelike elements, where strategic maneuvers meet tower defense chaos. Shape your deck from hundreds of available cards, acquire powerful artifacts, and upgrade your mini-tank to get rid of the aliens once and for all. With roguelike progression at its core, each battle increases your most valuable resource – knowledge. Tweak your deck on the fly, adapt to enemy patterns, and discover powerful synergies as you fight to protect the Earth.
Pick from a roster of unique commanders, each bringing a different playstyle and starting deck to the battlefield. Wanna focus on the pure strength of your tank? Or maybe you want to play tricks on your opponents and focus more on the poison build? No matter what your preferred playstyle is, in Mini Tank Mayhem you will always find your cup of tea.
Mini Tank Mayhem offers endless possibilities to break the game or, essentially, survive one more wave. And that is where the true fun and mayhem begin. Combine hundreds of cards and artifacts to create game-breaking power to eventually obliterate your enemies.

So Grindy and SLOW to meta progress.... which would be ok if the base game play loop itself were less meh.... sadly, this is the most meh game I've played in years. It's not an MMO, I should not be looking at investing YEARS of daily play to unlock a simple meh tower defense game progression.....

It's got good bones, but the global scaling "Threat" is tied to your leader. So if you play for 4 hours on one leader, beat Area 3 several times and then want to try another hero with your unlocked Compendium cards you're going back to base game difficulty despite having a good handle on how to beat the game consistently. Takes the wind right out of the "one more run" and wanting to brew up different strategies at your newly unlocked difficulties. At least make it cross faction threat. Also desperately needs a ban feature for banning things at the shop. I really don't play spells mid-fight in tower defense games, so an option to ban those and limit unlock fatigue would really help.

The Demo gave me excitement for the game. I saw the potential and wanted to see it fully explored in the full game. While the game does achive that, the difficulty is much different from the Demo. While I do feel like the game was a bit of a breeze on the hardest difficulty, I expected the challenge to show itself on the later stages, which weren't in the Demo, however the game appears to have gotten a lot more punishing in the early enemy encouters. Beating the first boss is something that I've managed to do only once in the few hours I have, but I haven't managed to get much further beyond. While I do hope a long lasting run provides a worthwhile experience, I've got games more welcoming to new players that I was able to get fun out of in the first 2 hours. What I feel needs to be improved is a lower difficulty level designed for a casual first playthrough that provides a showcase of what a full run provides without as much worry about having to start over.

This was a well done game. It took me a long time to beat a run. Recommended.

Very good mix of STS-style event structure and deckbuilding with tower defense. Multiple builds seem viable. There are a lot of towers, modules, and spells to unlock with lots of ways to combine them. I also found the game pretty thoughtfully produced though clearly on a budget; the music is nice, and I appreciate the cute 3D art style. Two downsides for me include a lack of tower targeting options, and a pretty slow grind to level up each commander.
